COM’s recommendation: Lieutenant Colonel Kyle Kroan has been a solid rock during his 8 month as Commander of Beta Squadron. He led his squadron by example and was always in the first line when it came to activity within Beta. There are only few CMDR aboard the ISD Hammer that can compete with him when it comes to leadership skills. His weekly squadron reports have nearly always been on time and were among the best and most detailed WSR’s I’ve seen. His monthly evaluations that I’ve had the joy of processing were perfectly written and above all informative. Beside all this he has always been there flying SP and MP missions/matches and there is no promotion or merit medal reward in the fleet that passes by without him creating a new uniform for the recipient without being ask to do so. All this dedication and effort Lieutenant Colonel Kyle Kroan did put into Beta and the TC over the past 8 months as CMDR should be rewarded with a Bronze Star of the Empire.

COM’s recommendation: MAJ Kyle Kroan is an officer as there are only few around. Whenever there is a change in someone’s record worth of a uniform change, MAJ Kyle has a new uniform ready without being asked to do. This way he updated 40(!) uniforms in April alone. Beside that he managed to keep up an extremely high presence on the Tie Corps mailing list and send in all his WSR’s in time and perfectly written and informative. All that while being on LoA for a week. For all this I recommend a Silver Star for MAJ Kyle Kroan.
SOO's review: Major Kyle Kroan happens to be one of the main activity and enthusiasm engines in the Fleet and that's what Major Kyle Kroan definitely is. His achievements on commanding Beta Squadron for an extended period of six months already are to be commended. Leading by example and posing as one of the best Squadron Commanders I've ever had the pleasure to meet, he earned for himself the honour of adding to his dress jacket a medal worth of all this activity and dedication towards his pilots. Therefore, I totally agree with his Commodore recommendation on the awarding of The Silver Star of The Empire.
TCCOM’s Comments: I concur with the assessment, and also believe that the Silver Star of the Empire is a suitable award for MAJ Kroan’s incredible efforts commanding his squadron and being an overall morale booster for the entire fleet. On top of that, he makes us all look very good, by tailoring our uniforms! Congratulations, Kyle!

It's safe to say that after the split of our glorious Fleet on two different ships, Major Kroan comes to be one of the best (among very few!) commanding officers to remain onboard the ISD Hammer. After reaching 5 months of commanding Beta Squadron he has demonstrated what we the Admiralty members have been endorsing for a long time now: leadership is of utmost important for a Squadron, hence why his unit is now an excellent activity engine for his ship. If we add here his own activity as a pilot with 20 LoCs earned on last month due to his activity on Star Conflict, his seemingly neverending task of keeping the rest of the Fleet updated with the newest versions of their uniforms, his proven efforts for all his WSRs and MSEs to be there on due time, participation in Fleet-wide competitions while also running Squadron-level ones, and also his help on the much needed update of {IWATS} Core Course (pending revision and approval) which shall be rewarded on due time, I see no reason to deny him what he clearly earned for his great performance. Therefore, I recommend Major Kyle Kroan to be awarded The Palpatine Crescent due to his activity on March 2014.

Major Kroan has been indeed a great surprise for the TC Admiralty as becoming an excelling Squadron Commander in almost no time, even surpassing the feats of many old veterans commanding squadrons. But that's not a secret anymore, and Beta has been a name to be reckoned with for a long time now; a newbies powerhouse perfectly capable to be on par with the best of TC units, and all thanks to Kyle. Definitely, his performance as CMDR is where main reasons behind his merit medals are to be found; last month his recruiting efforts meant a new recruit for his squadron and that's almost a dream on 2014! Additionally, he's always eager to help and offer his guidance to new recruits no matter their units. And what if we add here the fact that he has been working on the updating and revamping of our most sacred TC Pilot Manual, hence helping me as SOO on one of my most important tasks? Not enough? Ok, let's add then his neverending efforts on providing the rest of the Fleet with up-to-date versions of their uniforms for they to use them on their profiles? What now? Well, and what about his assured and maintained presence through our official comm. channels? Not yet? Ok... he also flew some missions and did an IU Course. Now get lost! And leave me alone so I can recommend Major Kyle Kroan to be awarded a much deserved Palpatine Crescent for his efforts on February 2014 as both a great leader and a pilot.

Major Kyle Kroan comes to be exactly what an experienced commanding officer wouldn't expect anytime soon: a TIE Corps member who after just one year of service happens to gather the vast experience and commanding skills as to drive a newly reopened unit like Beta Squadron to the highest levels of performance and activity, to the point that it's already on par with our most established squadrons commanded by our most excellent and experienced officers. Moreover, he's communicative to the point that it's jolly hard not needing to filter many of his e-mails for us, his superiors, to be able to do our work! Then his dedication towards his pilots with all WSRs being released in due date, detailed MSEs and quite helpful e-mails knows no end, and that's not to mention his seemingly neverending struggle to always keep the Fleet updated on the last versions of their uniforms. An yes... he also flies as befitting a pilot, though it's not hard to see he doesn't have as much time as he'd like due to his CMDR duties. Taking in count all this, I see no reason to deny him a much deserved Palpatine Crescent for all his efforts to date, with reasonable chances of this award being improved in months ahead.
TCCOM's comments: I concur with the SOO's assessment, although I'd like to already upgrade MAJ Kroan's reward to a Bronze Star for his performance as a Squadron Commander, which is commendable, since he is always promoting activity in his squadron, organizing competitions and leading by example, being active and communicative himself. Commander Kroan remains a very active member of the squadron, which displays in his efforts in competitions, both the regular trivia and others, as well as volunteering to do boring work for the TAC, decrypting a few hundred files, and his never ending task to make sure everyone has a uniform up on the the site, meaning this month he's been doing a lot of them with all the new pilots coming in! LCM Kroan seeks activity wherever he can find it: he flies, he does Imperial University courses (with perfect scores on almost all of them), and he does some trivia too.
Unfortunately he only won one of them this month, but that's just a temporary setback... He also helped Delta to be named TCCOM's Own in Karana Phase 2. His activity is
certainly worth a Bronze Star of the Empire.

LCM Kroan continues to seek every opportunity to show activity. He's ventured into the multiplayer activity flying on StarConflict (and winning), and
has also explored the wiki, adding several pages for himself, the squadron, as well as others. Aside from that he's also still tinkering with TTT2
and creating uniforms left and right. Once more, I would like to recommend a Palpatine Crescent for this activity.

CO: LCM Kroan continues to be a very active member of the squadron, participating in various competitions, being very active with e-mail both on the TC list and with his commander, and he continues to fly missions, this month even besting the SOO himself at the last moment to get 3rd place in the TC wide Ace competition.

Kyle is the newest member of the squadron and by far the most active. He's completed several IWATS courses, actively
participates in the trivia and shows a wide knowledge of both Star Wars and the TC in this. Aside from that he's flown several missions. He's been awarded his CoB, and has been promoted to full Lieutenant. It's time for his first real merit medal... Due to the level of activity, I feel this should be a PC.
