Thaas has shown an incredible level of dedication and loyalty in his continued and excellent performance as Wing Commander aboard the ISD Subjugator. Without a COM for a prolonged period he doubled his own workload and led by example through one of the hardest times the EH and TC can likely ever recall. He did so with unremitting loyalty and has earned the greatest respect from all his superiors for his selfless actions. The XO and myself have concluded that a BS is a more than appropriate award for his invaluable service.

MWE Award: Throughout April MAJ Pobyn has maintained a consistently high level of activity in support of not only his WC duties but the Subjugator as a whole.
He took the lead in the Redemption challenge by flying TIE-Free #166, XWA-Free #80, BoP-Free #25, and XvT-Free #173 scoring highest from the Sub in every class. In addition he also flew TIE-TC #15, 20, 32, 40, 81, and 82, as well flying and winning MTT #4.
36 missions and countless emails and activities have poured from this very capable officer and a PC seems the best way to reward his sterling effort.

In February, Thaas flew 18 missions, including 3 mission high scores, and a battle high score. In addition to this, Thaas continues to lead Krayt Squadron with the same enthusiasm as the day he became CMDR - in fact, possibly more.
Despite some difficulty, Thaas perseveres in his battle with the difficulties of leadership by leading by doing. For this reason I write this recommendation.

Commodore's comments: In the month of November, Captain Pobyn astounded the Wing Commander me with his activity. Thaas flew over 300 missions, achieved over 30 high scores, played several MP matches, took numerous IWATS Courses, and created several graphics. In addition to this extraordinary activity, Thaas continued to distinguish himself as a Commander as he led his Squadron to 4th place overall in Raise the Flag.
Flight Officer's recommendation: I agree with the assessment made by the Subjugator Commodore. For the past few months, Krayt has grown from the smallest squadron in the Subjugator, faded for failing and inactivity, possibly even decommissioned, for the best, most active squadron the Subjugator has at the moment, and it is due to its commander. Despite being somewhat new to the fleet, he has already proven himself to be a fantastic asset, and has helped the Subjugator in Raise the Flag by being its top pilot, achieving fifth place overall, being responsible for 60% of the entire ship’s points. With a couple more pilots like him, the Subjugator would definitely be fighting for the tops! For his performance as CMDR over the past months, and his dedication to his ship with incredible motivation and activity, I believe CPT Thaas Pobyn deserves his first Silver Star of the Empire. Congratulations, Captain!

Captain Thaas Pobyn has, over the last several months, been one of the most outstanding examples of leadership on the Subjugator. In October, Thaas flew over 40 missions in addition to participating in several non-flying competitions and overseeing a Run On for Krayt Squadron, but it is truly in his leadership skills that Thaas distinguishes himself. In a very short time Captain Pobyn has progressed from the new, professional but unsure Krayt Commander to the professional, confident, and efficient Krayt Commander. Under his leadership Krayt has gone from the bottm of the pile to the top, so to speak.
For his excellent service to Krayt Squadron, Wing XIX, the ISD Subjugator, and indeed, the TIE Corps as a whole, I am honored to recommend Captain Thaas Pobyn for this award.

In September, Commander Thaas Pobyn proved himself to be both a dedicated leader and pilot. Thaas completed 24 combat missions and 2 graphics in addition to his duties as Commander; duties he is quickly mastering. “In the short time since joining Viper squadron in May, Lieutenant Pobyn has distinguished himself from his brothers in arms as the most active pilot in his Squadron and Wing. Thaas has completed 172 combat missions in an extraordinary short period of time. In addition, he has completed 13 academic courses with high honors. Lieutenant Pobyn has also impressed me with the confidence and professionalism with which he handles matters pertaining to his squadron. New pilots are very rarely as respectful, professional and confident as this young pilot. For his efforts in combat against the enemies of the Emperor's Hammer and his activities within the Hammer itself, I am extremely pleased to nominate LT Thaas Pobyn for this award.â€
