There have been quite a few delays and problems with this particular case, but finally it has reached its final, proper recipient.
General Rancorous actions in preserving the material stored on the older TC/EH sites has maintained the continuity of the entire TC at a point where loss would simply have killed us. This recc was originally put forward as a GS from FA Dempsey but the critical role of this pilot easily warrants far greater recognition. TAC's Citation: Though I do not know if he realizes this, General Rancorous' actions in the early days after the database went sour have been instrumental in saving data for the new TC site. Thanks to his quick thinking, a near-complete site-rip containing most of the data was saved, and not only TC data. Although it means a lot of work for me to get all that stuff inserted, many hundreds of profiles will be able to be completely restored. Thank you from all of us at the TC!

COM Comment ? I am out of words. Lieutenant Colonel Rancorous has just OWNED everybody on the Sovereign with his awesome flying activity. Not only did he perform his Wing Commander duties admirably even with his tight RL schedule, but he was basically the work horse of the Sovereign in the RtF. He actually managed to put up a fight with Major Styles in the FCHG race, which is impressive in itself. As a Bronze Star feels way too small for such an outstanding activity, I recommend a Silver Star of the Empire for Lieutenant Colonel Rancorous.
Flight Officer's comments: I agree with the Commodore's recommendation, although Silver Stars can't be awarded for simple activity. LC Rancorous' ongoing work as Wing VI Commander, leading his wing to a great second place, being the top pilot on the Sovereign, and achieving a second place overall himself in the competition, with almost 1000 points, warrants him this award. Cube has worked motivating his wing the best he could since he was appointed, and he does a great job managing his CMDRs and being there for them wherever needed. He is an exemplary Wing Commander, and fills in all the gaps he finds in his wing. His own participation in the competition was phenomenal, being actually the only pilot to threaten Zosite?s supremacy. For all the above, the Silver Star has been earned! Congratulations, Lieutenant Colonel!

Got the Alpha vs Ares squadron competition off the ground with MAJ Mirtez, as of writing the competition is complete and Alpha is 49 points in front of Ares with contributions from 50% of her pilots. I count that as a good competition result whether we win or lose overall, (awaiting the WC scores for Fiction and Graphics though I think Ares had 2 entries one for each making a maximum of 20 points to come).
Awarded a couple of medals during the month and marked two IWATS tests for the weaponry course. Also wrote 4 short stories and created, (rather than drew) four pictures for the graphics competition. Mostly flew this month for our competition and the end of the FO?s competition.
Active on e-mail and IRC I believe I had a solid month. Once the scores are in I?ll update Alpha?s website, (which has been secured for another year).

A bit more activity than last month as I spend slightly more time at home this month.
WC Comment ? Cube?s being busy lately with his job, which involves lots of travelling around his country. I?m glad that he finds the time for writing reports and all the basic stuff.
COM Comment : Major Rancorous went throug another month filled with hard work for his squadron and despite RL constrains managed to find some time for flying as well. For that I recommend him to be awarded with Palpatine Crescent.

Captain Rancorous flew 52 battles (275 missions in total), submitted 4 fiction and 5 GFX entries for the recent SOV vs. SUB competition; apart from participating it the other competitions held by WC. Moreover he once more proved to be an excellent leader and kept his pilots motivated throughout the month. There can be no doubt of his utmost dedication and loyalty to his squadron and ship. "For the past year Commander Rancorous has proved to be an excellent pilot and officer. Being one of the most active pilots in Alpha, he has shown great dedication as well as skills. When Talons Pryde has stepped down from his Alpha CMDR spot, it was Rancorous who took his place. Being a skilled leader and a great pilot, he pushed himself harder than anybody I know to achieve the best results. Under his leadership Alpha retained its elite status, and is still the most active squadron on the Sovereign. He has never failed me, and has shown great loyalty to his squad- and wingmates. I also have to mention that he has flown an amazing amount of 1024 missions, gaining thus the title "Ace of the TIE Corps 2006". This activity was the main motor for the Sovereign in the Raise The Flag Competition 2006; he also struggled to beat Lieutenant Zosite Konstyte Styles in December. Though Lieutenat won, Rancorous fought to the very end.
I haven't seen a better pilot in my whole life, and I can just hope to become as good leader as he is."

Captain Rancorous one again has shown us, what loyalty and dedication mean. Always active and ready to help in everything, he should be an example for all of us. I haven?t met such a pilot in a long time. He does anything that is necessary to keep the activity in his squadron. COM's Comment: I agree that Captain Rancorous did really monumental amount of work in the last month. He flew 460 missions over the course of December and also served as an exemplary leader to his squadron. No other CMDR in the fleet came even close to what Rancorous achieved in the last month and such a special feat deserves special reward.

Commander Rancorous flew 508 missions over the course of the November, which is an extraordinary achievement on its own. Moreover he has done great deal of work as a CMDR of Alpha squadron and managed to keep his pilots occupied and motivated throughout the month. His activity and dedication were instrumental for entire SSSD Sovereign in matter of day-to-day activity and the recent RtF competition alike.
I believe that there is only one sufficient reward for such a tremendous amount of hard work and that is the Silver Star of the Empire. Therefore I recommend Commander Rancorous to be awarded with this rare and prestigious medal.
FO's Note: I fully agree with RA Daar's reccomendation! This pilot supported his entire ship throughout this competition and proved that he has the utmost dedication! It is important that we reward such efforts, and a Silver Star is fitting!

"Cube" Rancorous: Filled in as the XO should when the CMDR needed time away. He has also been working in the background for the Alpha site and the EC site. His work as an Acolyte in the DB is also to be commended. I am hoping that his efforts there will be rewarded. He has completed his final task for elegibility for promotion to Protector in the Ebon Cloak. This is a pilot I would recommend in a heart beat for Commander of a squadron. His perseveriance as a leader is better than most people I have met. He even out does me in some respects.
Recommendations: I would like to recommend a Palpatine Crescent or similar award for all of his behind-the-scenes work. I also would like to see him promoted at the earliest possible moment. He is very much worthy of the medal and the rank. The call is yours, but if denied, I would like to have the reasons why.

LCM Rancorous was the highest scoring pilot in the non-flying division of the February COmpetition. a BURST OF EXTREME ACTIVITY. I was most pleased, as was Maj Talons Pryde... he was at least 50% responsible, in terms of points, for the success of Alpha in the competition. A role model to his fellow pilots, a Flight Leader who takes FL as serious as a Commodre position... with much pride. He is an awesome pilot, whom I think will make a great CMDR or even higher... soon. Fo extreme loyalty and dedication to Alpha Squadron, I request an Imperial Security Medal for this fine pilot.

The activity of the squadron Executive Officer is exemplorary. He is Commander Material and I would recommend him for promotion to that position if I could. He will be a superior replacement for me should I advance or step down. He carries 26 IWATS courses (the most in the Wing and possibly the ship), and he has completed all but two of the XWA battles. Most of these accomplishments were done while in the process of acquiring a new home and moving.
He also initiated the squadron's home page hosting that has been in use now for nearly a year. With out it, Alpha Squadron would have no true home.
I would take the medal from my own chest and place it upon him for this service to Alpha squadron, Wing I, and the SSSD Sovereign.
