SQUADRON STATUS: Happy Holidays!

NEWS

First, an announcement: I'll be on leave from 12/23 to 12/30, venturing out from my relatively warm Texas home to travel to a decidedly less warm Colorado. I'll still have internet access and some free time, so Warrior Trivia and the next Squadron Report shouldn't be delayed.

The FLs and I chatted a bit about the direction we'll go in 2015, which includes some ideas that I'm tossing over to the COO. In the meantime, we've still got one more week of Sinner's Delight to go!

The Sinner's Delight award for MP this past week went to CM Nolij! Great job!

OPEN COMPETITIONS

The Competitions Center and Combat Center on the TIE Corps site can provide all the details for each competition. In my reports, I'll just be listing short summaries of each open competition that are open to Sin pilots.

X-Wing Replay: This year, we're flying through the original missions in X-Wing! In January in February, fly TOD 1: A New Ally. Pilot file and screenshot of the debriefing screen should be sent to the TAC. High scores for the whole tour win awards! (Whole TC, 2664)

TIE Fighter Replay: This year, we're also flying through the original missions in TIE Figher! In January, fly Battle 1: The Aftermath of Hoth. Pilot file should be sent to the TAC. High scores for the whole battle win awards!(Whole TC, 2665)

Mobile Gaming Mania: Each month, the TAC will pick a free mobile game. Take a screenshot of your highest score and submit it to the TAC, highest scores win Iron Stars! January's game hasn't been announced yet.(Whole TC, 2669)

Kappa Tale of the Winter: Best winter-themed story wins stuff! (Whole TC, 2662)

Kappa Snowflake Banner: Best Christmas or winter-themed banner for Kappa Squadron wins stuff! (Whole TC, 2661)

Sinner's Delight - SP: The pilot with the most SP missions flown at the end of each week (Tuesday-Monday) will earn an IS- BW! (Sin, 2607)

Sinner's Delight - MP: The pilot that earns the most LoCs each week (Tuesday-Monday) will win an IS-BW! (Sin, 2608)

If you finish an SC PvP match in Domination or Team Battle mode with a lot of kills, send that over to the COO and SOO (Whole TC, 77)

Along with the usual Medal of Instruction, recruiting pilots to the TIE Corps has been incentivized until the end of the year: Top three recruiters win Iron Stars! (Whole TC, 2632)

Warrior Trivia: Answer five trivia questions each week. Very small time requirement! (Warrior, 2623)

CLOSING THOUGHTS

I would say something like "Talk to you again when I get back", but in the smartphone age, there's just no reason to be completely disconnected anymore. Unless it's a "get away from it all" scenario, I guess.
