| Commander's notes |
Well, it's been nearly a week since Raise the Flag ended, and we're licking our wounds. We'll get them next year!
In the mean time, grats to all who won medals in this event, those IS-PWs and IS-PR2 are hard to come by! Activity during RtF was high, and I sure
hope it stays that way. Now all we have to do is wait for the medals :) nIf you want to know if you've got one due, see the TC news page.
On a squadron level, last month's Squadron Evaluation has been sent to the COM, and it's now a matter of waiting for
the chain of command to evaluate our performance and award some shinies.
If you didn't win a medal in RtF - have no fear, there's plenty of ship competitions to go round: we have the Hammer on Patrol
in which you can participate with as little as ONE free mission a week, we have Hammer Pilot of the Month, and we have
Hammer Student of the Month fo the no fly boys. I only wish I could participate in the latter, but no such luck :(
Fortunately I'm still doing well with the other two, although I must say I was shocked to learn that I ended up 3rd in last
week's XvT mission, that never happened before. Grats to Polo (again) and Clark (yay!).
So yes, MAJ Clark grabbed himself some shines: the fiction competition in RtF, last week's Hammer on Patrol, and last
week's trivia. Nice going Major!
LT Nylan, the newest addition tob the team, is also staying active with a nice showing in trivia, and flying some battles.
On a sad note, former Deltonian MAJ Kroan has decided to step down as Commander of Beta squadron. Good luck to you, sir,
you did a good job!
I do think however it's time for some kind of AWOL check in Delta. There's too many people I haven't heard from in ages, or who have shown no activity
in ages (isn't that the same). So I'll be sending out an email this week. If you don't get it, then I didn't bother sending it because you don't fall
in that category :)
So what's next? Good question - winter is coming, so things will probably cool down a bit. Well, I guess it's winter somewhere :) I'm going to be
thinking up a nice new squadron competition to keep you busy, maybe even go shipwide to offer some higher tier medals. It's been a while since I did
that. Stay tuned!
