| Commander's notes |
Hello folks. Welcome to another report for Delta Suqadron.
Frankly said - I am not a happy camper today. Mostly because the Hammer is lagging the Warrior by way too many points, but also
because I think activity within this squadron is not where it should be at this time. Only 4 out of 11 pilots have managed to get off the 0 mark!
And with the non flying bonus competitions done, I wonder if that will change....
That said - on to better news. We were joined this week by a returning vet, LT Nylan, who didn't waste any time and
bagged himself his fiorst points for RtF (yup, someone who's in the squadron for 2 days has a better score than more than half the rest....)
Welcome to you, lieutenant!
Also good: LT Simomime has been doing a good job on the Star Conflict side of things, earning himself a nice bunch of
LoCs and this ship a nice bunch of points for RtF. Keep them coming, Lieutenant!
Speaking of RtF - the TCCOM's report should be out later today and announce the winners of the first bonus competition, the fiction. Here's hoping the
Hammer scores some big bonuspoints there, we need em! The graphics bonus competition is also nearly done, and scores for that are expected in
the coming days. Again, let's hope for some big points for us!
And then for something completely different, as there are things in the TC that are not RtF related :) This week saw the release of TIE
free 287: Siegebreaker, a joint effort between HA Frodo March and CPT Plif, who were
both awarded a Medal of Tactics for their efforts.
The Hammer on patrol competition was fun this week - the TIE free mission picked was a bit easy, but tediously long causing me
to make mistakes and having to fly it 5 times. The fifth time, I completed it after a total real time duration of 45 minutes (almost 2 hours on the mission
clock, that LucasArts for time x4) and earning myself 84,000 points. Rather a disappointment the next highest score was less than 10,000. I would have tried
less hard :) Also, Dunta Polo again swiped the IS-SW for the XWA mission. That's twice ina row now!
More big news! For his efforts on the XWA Craft Pack, CPT Nutrientman was awarded a Gold Star of the
Empire this week. A rare occurrence for a line pilot - wear it with pride, Captain!
We also saw the MSE medals arrive this week. Unfortunately, not as many as I would have hoped. Still, several people were awarded something nice. let's
see if we can improve on that for June!
Lastly, I would like to remind the TCCOM of my 1,000 point bonus in RtF for having my birthday last week. I see they haven't been
added to the RtF scoring site yet, but I am sure that is just a small oversight.
