| Commander's notes |
Goodday pilots of Delta squadron and the ISD=II Hammer! Welcome to this weekly report. On a side note, pilots of the ISD-II Warrior
should not be reading this report as such might be seen as espionage for the enemy, which is punishable by death. Also - if anyone knows the
fastest way to get GN Pickled Yoda reassigned to the Hammer, step forth as soon as you can!
In case you hadn't noticed, Raise the Flag is on, and after one week, we're getting our asses kicked by the aforementioned
general. Fortunately, there's a pair of Noghri en route to the Warrior to deal with the problem. I have also found other ways to correct the
situation, as the TC Admiralty will be aware of if they read my fiction for last week's bonus competition. And no - you
never specified that as against competition rules! Also, to me pilots, if we lose to the Warrior, I will have to find other ways to motivate
you, and you really don't want that......
As far as I am aware two Delta pilots entered last week's bonus fiction competition. I have a nice little story done,
and so did MAJ Clark. Let's hope we bag us some big points!
This week is the bonus graphics competition. So - if you know your way around Photoshop or some clone, and can come up
with some kind of banner, be sure to submit it! Your squadron, Wing, Ship and Commander are counting on you!
As for me, I've started doing some flying, and while I am 100% sure I can outfly any of the Warrior's pilots in volume, those extra points for
high scores are killing me :(
Other news, well, I'm not sure. I've been buried in work this week with the last week of final examinations for last year students, hence my late start.
And things may be easing up a bit, but not as much as I'd like. June is a bad month for this competition. So, other news? I've seen some promotion emails,
and there's some discussion going on. There's also a few free missions in the TACcy queue that should get released before the end of RtF, but we'll have
to see about it. Also noteworthy: I managed to grab first place in the Hammer on Patrol competition for the second time. Let's
see if I can make it three in a row! At the same time, congrats to Dunta Polo, first time in 10 weeks I think that someone beat me at the XWA mission!
Also new and big: The XWA Craft Pack has been released so people on 64 bit systems can fly patched craft in XWA again. Note
that not all patches are included, so be sure to check which craft are included! Excellent job, Nutrientman!
PS: this is a beta version, so any and all errors should be reported so we can filter out any previously undiscovered bugs!
Lastly - the Squadron Evaluation for May was submitted last weekend as per the COM's wishes. I have no idea how long processing
will take,. I can imagine the TC Admiralty having their hands full with RtF. Stay tuned though!
Sorry bout the shortness of this report, all should be better next month.
PS: note the TC Admiralty. This Thursday is my birthday - I expect 1,000 bonus points for that!
