| Commander's notes |
Hi again to another sparkling Delta Squadron report!
Hi there Deltonians! It's another weekly report, soon to be
followed by another monthly evaluation. Fortunately for the TC CS, they finished up last month's evaluation just in time! Grats to
LT Landon Cruise for his Bronze Star of the Empire! Also grats to
CPT Fenn, LC Nelson and myself for our Imperial
Security Medals and to MAJ Clark for his Palpatine Crescent. That
means just less than half the squad got something. We're gonna have to work on that folks!
There's been lots of other medals arriving on our flight deck this week. February's Medals of Communication
came in, a total of seven, but we can do better! Also, it seems I was not the only one to participate in
the SOO's Mjölnir competition, as both LC Nelson myself earned an Iron Star for
our efforts! Remember folks - if you participate in non-Delta competitions, let me know! And while we're at it, two more medals came in:
LT Landon Cruise grabbed another Iron Star for victory in trivia, and
MAJ Clark bagged the Cruising Along competition with the highest score. Well
done to all!
The latest buzz in the command ranks this week is exciting, as we are again closer to opening up a second Star
Destroyer and finally becoming some semblence of a real battle group! The ship has been picked, (but I'm not gonna tell you which
one!) and four of the six squadrons have already received their assignments. Well, not officially, but that's that. The latest choice is
what to do with the others, with two options going around: both stay, or one goes. The Commanding Officer
for the new ship has also been chosen, with a hefty discussion going on about who will lead the second ship, and whether they become
Wing Commanders or Commodores. I'll give you one sneak peak: it won't be me,
so I'll continue bugging you for a while longer :)
The ISD Hammer finally has a nickname and a motto as the results of the SOO's competition for them have finally
been picked. Yeehaw!
The good news is it seems the SOO is able to return to his full and crazy self now. Which should mean the next MSE goes through a lot quicker
than the last, but as you all know, real life can really screw up EH time with all it's little idiosyncrasies like hardware trouble, woman
issues (whether they be wife, girlfriend, kid or other) and whatever else there is with jobs, houses, taxes, kitchens and stray rancors.
Fortunately I suffer from none of those but you never know what the future holds. Although if I hit a snag somewhere I seriously do hope it
won't be a stray rancor in the kitchen doing unspeakable things to a woman.
Lastly this week: do not forget that you still have a week to submit your fiction stories for the Where Were You Last
Night competition! I have not yet received any submissions, but that's probably because you're all working on your stories, right?
Mail them in this week...

| Important Competitions |
Competitions are the livelihood of this thing we do for fun. I encourage all of you to enter as many competitions as
you want to/can. And just let me know about it! Don't forget to check out the website for more information.
Delta's Weekly Trivia
Each day of the week (Mon-Fri) you will receive an email with a triviaquestion, same as before. 3 pts for the first correct answer, 2 pts forsecond and 1 pt for 3rd. At the end of the week, the one with themost points wins the shiny. As usual, there's extra shinies available foraccumulating set amounts of points.
Where were you last night?
A short fiction competition. Short meaning it doesn't last long and the story cannot be too long.... As in under 750 words. Topic: Delta squadron was out flying a mission yesterday. One pilot short. You were not there. Explain yourself!
Ace of the TIE Corps
Each mission flown during a month will count towards your score, with shinies for the top 3 pilots. At the end of the year, the TC's Top Gun will win a rare IS-PW!
MP Ace of the TIE Corps
Each multiplayer victory flown during a month will count towards your score, with shinies for the top 3 pilots. At the end of the year, the TC's Top Gun will win a rare IS-PW!
Star Conflict's Beacon Hunt
This will be a test of your skill to capture as many beacons as you can in one round with a victory. In layman's terms, in a Beacon Hunt mode game, capture the beacon as many times as you can in one round.
