Commander's notes
As the holidays approach, things are slowing down in the TC, as it is every year. For me, that means 2 weeks off work and so I can
do some stuff like catch up with my non-TC hobbies. And of course fly my arse off to make sure I defeat Woody
this month... I sure will not envy the TCCOM :)
Other stuff happened too, wghich is way bigger. Yes, another promotion letter arrived on my desk telling me in no uncertain terms that
Captain Clark would no longer be a Captain, he is now a Major. Of course this
was no surprise to me as his consistent level of activity over the past few months forced my hand and made me recommend this promotion
to the TCCOM. All I can say is: congrats, and who will be next?
COL Jade has informed me his activity level will be a bit low in the foreseeable future due to stuff that
needs to be done in real life. I would appreciate it if someone would care to explain to me what this "real
life" business is I keep hearing about. I haven't the faintest idea and it appears to be important. More importantly: can I have
one too, and what would I need to get it? Either way, assuming it doesn't take too long the Colonel is granted a reprieve from his
Flight Leader duties until he decides this real life stuff is over and done with.
Maybe you've all forgotten about it, but I have not. The Returnee's Activity Hunt fiction competition has
finished, and we finally managed to get in all the scores. It turned out to be a very tight finish with 3 pilots getting 11 and 12 points
from our judges. As such, Major Tek Selkirk has been awarded first place decorations, while LC
Kenath Zoron and the aforementioned COL Aticus Jade share second place prize money (which btw is 0
Imperial Credits).
Once again I ponder the Weekly Trivia On the one hand I'm happy with the way the points are working out,
but every week the participation drops. Perhaps because pilots see they will not be winning this week. Still - there's always the
individual participation awards to play for (aka: the Trivia Incentive).
Perhaps participation would stay on the level if I were to stop keeping a daily score counter? Let's see next week :)
What else is there to report this week? The epic failure of my little run-on attempt. Alas, with still just the one entry in 3 weeks of
time I fear it will not be the dashing success I had hoped for. The same by the way applies to the IWATS bit in the competition.
Fortunately the flying bit is still going, with two pilots (not counting myself) having flown missions this month. Still, not as good as
I had hoped ...

Joke of the week
A young polar bear came into his den and asked his mother, "Mom am I a real polar bear?"
"Of course you are," his mother replied.
The young polar bear asked his father: "Dad, am I a real polar bear?"
"Yes, you are a real polar bear."
A week passed and the young polar bear asked his parents: "Are grandma and grandpa real polar bears?"
"Yes," said his parents.
Another week passed and the young polar bear asked his parents: "Are all my relatives real polar bears?"
"Yes, they are all real polar bears," said his parents. "Why do you keep asking?"
"Because," said the young polar bear, "I'm fucking freezing!"

Important Competitions
Competitions are the livelihood of this thing we do for fun. I encourage all of you to enter as many competitions as
you want to/can. And just let me know about it! Don't forget to check out the website for more information.
Delta's Weekly Trivia
Each day of the week (Mon-Fri) you will receive an email with a triviaquestion, same as before. 3 pts for the first correct answer, 2 pts forsecond and 1 pt for 3rd. At the end of the week, the one with themost points wins the shiny. As usual, there's extra shinies available foraccumulating set amounts of points.
Delta's End of Year Bash
Another squad competition to generate some activity and medals. See section below this one for details.

Delta's End of Year Bash
I hope this is something for everyone....
part 1: IWATS
Once again I will attempt to educate you all with some IWATS(IU included) activity :)* Complete any IWATS/IU course you want for 1 pt* Complete the assigned IWATS/IU course for 2 pts* Highest points total at the end of the month wins* This week's assigned IWATS/IU Course: General Leadership
Current standings: Ras Kronar: 2pts
part 2: mini runon
I started a small run-on on the Message Boards: The History of Dellyn Tow.There's an introductory post to set a frame of reference.* Submissions should be no longer than 10 lines* You can't make 2 submissions in a row.* Everyone who makes more than 10 submissions gets an IS-BR
Current standings: John T Clark : 1pt
part 3: That's my kill
Just hoping to generate some flight activity here! Each flight activity counts, but flying the assigned missionearns extra credit. Extra credit is awarded once a week, so not 3 points for flying all 3!
* Each SP mission flown earns a point, each MP mission flown earns a point* Each SP battle flown earns an extra point, each mission HS earns an extra point* Completing the assigned mission earns a bonus point
* This week's assigned missions:
TIE free 285: Starfighter Histories: TIE Bomber XvT free 223: Choices XWA free 138: Cadet's Day Out
Current standings: Nutrientman: 7 pts; John T Clark: 6pts
Medals to be won depend on participation - if enough people participate I can award a Silver Ribbon/Wings addon for the winner, with a medal as well for the runner up.
If participation is too low, only the winner gets one and that will be a Bronze Ribbon/Wings addon.
