Commander's notes
Well, it's been another rocky week folks. We gained another pilot in the form of CPT Ras Kronar, a
former Deltonian who rejoined the ranks. Again, be welcome in Delta!
Unfortunately, we have had to say goodbye to a few pilots as well: CPT Aija Alura Judarrl,
CM Sergeyli and LT Gillead have been transferred to the
M/FRG Phoenix where they will make HA Frodo's life a misery. Should you ever decide to return, we'll
keep a place open for you in Delta!
And then just yesterday we also lost one of the most active pilots in the squadron, as CM Kyle Kroan
has accepted assignment as Commander of the newly opened Beta squadron.
Congrats Kyle!
This does, however, make CPT Nutrientman feel lonely since he is now alone in Flight III. As such, I'm
opening up applications for Flight III Flight Leader. Preferably candidates should be from Delta, but if
no Deltonians apply I'm probably not gonna turn down a reservist (or worse). Requirements: activity, keeping in touch with your Flight's
pilots, and weekly Flight Leader reports.
COL BubbaX has been very busy using his graphics skills for the TCCOM and myself. This is the first draft
of the new squadron logo, and unless he comes up with something better, it's probably going to stay :)
Delta's Weekly Trivia will be undergoing testing for a new scoring system next week, all pilots have been
informed. Everyone's also been updated on their standings in the Trivia Incentive race, and two pilots
are tied at 891 points. I can't wait to see who will hit the magical one thousand points first!
So far, there have not yet been any submissions for the Returnee's Activity Hunt, but with another
20 days left to go, I'm not too worried. Still, I do hope some of you have already been pondering your submissions! As for the
Delta's FCHG points hunt competition, CPT Kronar, CMDR
Kroan and GN Pellaeon are currently sharing the lead with 4 FCHG points
gained, followed closely by myself with 3 and COL BubbaX with 2. It seems the race is on!
Speaking of competitions - CPT Kronar has made a bang of a return to active duty by submitting his pilotfile
for Karana Initiative Phase 4 (which right now I realize I forgot to put in the competitions section of
my reports. Aye, the shame.....
To end this report on a happy note - everyone's MSE awards came in this week: an Imperial
Security Medal for Gilad Pellaeon and Shado Fenn, a Palpatine
Crescent for Kyle Kroan (your last from me, alas), and Bronze
Stars of the Empire for John T. Clark and myself. Sorry Jaorrus, BubbaX, Ras and Nutrientman, nothing
for you this time (since well, Frodo March apparantly didn't reccommend anything for you), but I'm confident
there will be nice shinies for you as well next time around!

Joke of the week
A father passing by his son's bedroom, was astonished to see the bed was nicely made, and everything was picked up. Then, he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow. It was addressed, 'Dad.'
With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter, with trembling hands.
'Dear, Dad. It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend, because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mum and you.
I've been finding real passion with Stacy, and she is so nice, but I knew you would not approve of her, because of all her piercing's, tattoos, her tight Motorcycle clothes, and because she is so much older than I am.
But it's not only the passion, Dad. She's pregnant. Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods, and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.
Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't, really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it for ourselves, and trading it with the other people in the commune, for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want.
In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS, so Stacy can get better. She sure deserves it!
Don't worry Dad, I'm 15, and I know how to take care of myself. Someday, I'm sure we'll be back to visit, so you can get to know your many grandchildren.
Love, your son, Joshua.
P.S. None of the above is true. I'm over at Jason's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the school report that's on the kitchen table.

Wrapping up
This weeks brings mixed feelings. One the one hand - new pilot, lotsa medals, and a great opportunity for Kyle. On the other - one moment we're the only fully stocked squadron with 12 pilots,
and next we're the smallest with only 8 pilots.... Things should improve though, I'm sure there's more reservists out there just waiting to return!
