| Â Commander's notes |
This week has been abso-frickin-lutely amazing, and I hope many more are to follow!
First off, a few old time vets decided to leave the
M/FRG Phoenix.and return to active duty. And when I say a handful I mean two hands full cause they
don't fit in one anymore.... Welcome back to all 8 pilots who have rejoined us so far. I guess we have the TCCOM
to thank for this - his efforts have paid off. Guess spamming the Phoenix holonet and unleashing unleashing thousands of messages
to them has worked better than expected ! One can only wonder how many more will follow next week.
And especially I'd like to welcome COL BubbaX, CPT Nutrientman and
LCM Jaorrus Morraus, who have taken up some empty slots in this squadron. Welcome back guys! And even
better: COL BubbaX has already bagged himself a shiny Palpatine Crescent for providing the TC CS
with a new logo!
Thank you also to Col Zosite K. Styles who found himself swamped with all the work to suddenly restore
a heapload of profiles from the backup. I chickened out of the hard work a while back and just thought it was better to just send him
the entire backup I had of all the profiles and stuff. Man was I ever on time doing something smart :) And he's still working to
restore CPT Nutrientman's combat record.
Second major event this week is the creating of a pilot who is unique in the entire EH history. And if you think she couldn't get more
high headed than she already is.... think again (imagine an evil grinning sound here...)
Yesterday I received my MSE award
for August, which is the highly coveted Grand Order of the Emperor. Not only is it extremely rare for a
line pilot to be awarded this highly prestigious medal, it means that I now have two of them. And while
this in itself is not enough to make me unique (blah blah :) I am now the only pilot in history with two GOE and two IC. Guess I should
keep doing what I'm doing and I'll end up with two MoH as well. Assuming the FC changes the rules on that, since currently the MoH can
only be awarded once. Well, one can dream :)
Well, the above two kind of overshadowed much else of what has happened the past week. The month of October is done, which means I'll
be submitting the Monthly Squadron Evaluation to the TCCOM and SOO pretty soon (which means later today),
so I expect a good number of activity medals to be awarded for you guys...
The only downside this week is that I'm giving our three MIA pilots one more shot, and if all fails, they will replace the aforementioned
three new pilots and claim their bunks on the M/FRG Phoenix...
Lastly, The Karana Inititive 4 competition has been extended in order to give the new pilots a chance to
participate as well - it would be a shame to miss out on a TC wide competiton. And so I call upon all new pilots, as well as those who have
not yet done so, to fly TIE TC 245 for the greater glory of your squadron! We still have a shot at
reclaiming our title of TCCOM's Escort Squadron. But even though I did score some high scores, I fear the
big bag of medals for that will go to someone else, seeing how I currently have none of them left... Dang, couldn't Zosite have resumed
flying a few weeeks later...
To end on a high note, CPT John T Clark has won the weekly trivia yet again, which makes 3 times in a row.
That of course means we already know that next week someone else will win! Alas, Captain, you can participate next week and rack up
points for the Trivia Incentive Awards Â

| Â Joke of the week |
Two men are hunting when one accidentally shoots the other. He freaks out and calls 911 on his cell-phone:
"I just accidentally shot my friend while we were hunting! I think he's dead! What do i do?! What do I do?"
"Ok sir. Calm down. First let's make sure your friend is really dead..."
"Ok! Hang on! "
A few moments later the 911 operator hears another gunshot.
"Ok. He's really dead. Now what?"
