Weekly Report #26 – Submission date: February 26th 2012

Introduction

Welcome to a new Gamma Report,

So, we’ll have a competition this week: Gamma’s Tactics! All Gamma pilots are ordered to fly TIE-Free 278 – Report Retrieval for the highest score they can get. And as you do, you will write down the tactics used to achieve that score. All tactics and pilot files will be submitted to me before next week’s report. I will judge the tactics and decide which one I like the most, and that pilot will get an IS-BR. Also, the top scorer will receive an IS-BW, with additional IS-BWs for whoever beats the CMDR’s score.

I just realized that I managed to write the whole paragraph above, and the database is yet to open my profile. Nothing yet, so I guess I’ll just keep on writing until it does. I really do need my profile to check for FCHG updates. CPT Impulse reminded me that I haven’t updated them in a while, so I better do it. Still nothing. That can’t be right, let me try it on another tab. Right now, I’m calculating the time it will need for me to open each of your profiles to check for FCHG updates. My guess is it will take me about 45 minutes to compile the information. That’s ok, it’s not like I have time constraints or anything…still, it bothers me a little bit that you have to wait here with me until my profile is opened. Oh, there it is… the second tab opened it sooner. I wonder what happened to the first… Well, on with the report…

Many discussions are still being held in the mailing list and in particular with other members. I think that we have many things to sort out. Right now, I’m not so thrilled about the possibilities of the club’s development.

Awards: IS-BW for mission top scorer;
IS-BW for every pilot who beats the CMDR's score;
IS-BR for best tactics, decided by the CMDR.
Description: A TIE-Free mission will be chosen on the compendium. This week, Gamma pilots will fly it for the highest score possible, and also write down their tactics for completing the mission with that score, and submit them to their CMDR, who will decide which pilot has applied the best tactics.

Description: Pilot of the Month type competition. Winner will be decided based on (but not limited to) activity, awesomeness and worth to the TIE Corps.

* 2011 Ace of the TIE Corps – Ended – due to the TAC’s inactivity on the matter, the medals were awarded by a member this week…as much as the gesture is appreciated, this should not have happened, and some medals were awarded when they should not have been awarded. Too bad…
