INTRODUCTION

Good Saturday afternoon Hammer
pilots!
Firstly I have some sizable news. As of yesterday, the TIE Corps
Commander has decided on his successor in the role of Strategic
Operations Officer. That will be chaired by none other than our
esteemed Combat Operations Officer Vice Admiral John T. Clark, who has
been a fixture on the Hammer,
serving as Flight Leader and Commander of Delta Squadron, then later
Flight Member and Combat Operations Officer's Assistant in Delta, and
coming over to Epsilon Squadron as Flight Leader then later Squadron
Commander. John is a dedicated pilot and has served the Corps
faithfully since 2004 and I am especially proud to have had him aboard
the Hammer.
But we'll be working together in close quarters because Fleet Admiral
Plif has chosen the next Combat Operations Officer in one fell swoop.
Sources say the new COO is a rather odd duck with a penchant for
smoking a pipe in briefings, drinking tea and using thermal detonators
for golf balls.
Well the fox is out of the den. Yes, I'm going to be taking over the
Combat Operations Centre aboard the VSDII Aggressor. But I'm going to always
cherish the ISDII Hammer. We
have hosted aces, we've developed new commanders and even gotten one to
General, and we've even become the flagship. But it's not because of
me. It's because of you. Every one of you from
Flight Member to Squadron Commander, all of you have contributed to our
victories. All I've done is just lend a listening ear and some gentle
guidance. And that's what leadership is about, it's about equipping
your people with the tools that they need for success, some wisdom and
reassurance.
I'll be taking applications of course (mailed as well up to Plif and
John) for the person who next sits in this chair. I only ask that
you've had squadron command experience but also the willingness to be
in it for the long haul and to lead from the front. Be an advocate for
your squadrons and have a bit of fun in the process. I intend to see a
lot of screenshots coming up for approval from Hammer pilots. The change of
command will effectively occur on 9 May 2020 to allow for the last
evaluation cycle to run through properly. Please have your last MSEs
for me completed in a timely manner :)
We are holding Combat Event #156 "TC PvP Shootout" which was enacted by
Colonel Horus Blackheart today at 6 PM Eastern/11 PM GMT.
There is a DFC for the top scoring pilot and IS-BWs at hand for those
participating in at least 10 matches or more. Remember when submitting
your screenshots that you reference Combat Event #156. We'll be meeting
at GameRanger (http://gameranger.com) and if you need someone to get
you in, feel free to add me at "AD Miles Prower". Voice comms will be

TIE Corps Exercise: Squadron
(Re)Mobilization 2
Over the course of March and April, all TIE Corps squadrons
are assigned the following tasks:
- Complete 20 battles from the Battle Center
- Complete 10 battles from the Battle Center with a score at
least 59.50% of the battle's high score
- Complete 40 free missions from the Battle Center
- Complete 20 free missions from the Battle Center with at
least 59.50% of the high score
- Set 5 new mission or battle high scores
- Submit 10 battle or mission reviews with at least 30 words
each, must have completed the mission or battle within the last 30 days
- Earn 80 Legions of Combat
- Earn 200 Legions of Skirmish
- Earn 10 Legions of Combat in missions flown against other
EH members
- Earn 25 Legions of Skirmish with another EH member present
in the mission
- Complete 10 IU courses
- Submit 4000 words of fiction divided into as many separate
pieces as you'd like
- Create 10 new pages in the Encyclopaedia Imperia (EH Wiki)
with at least 200 words each
Rewards
- 3 tasks completed - Squadron may change its Objective, all
participants awarded an IS-BW
- 5 tasks completed - Squadron may change its Objective and
its fighters to any Tier 1 ships, all participants awarded an IS-BW
- 7 tasks completed - Squadron may change its Objective and
its fighters to any Tier 1 or Tier 2 ships, all participants awarded an
IS-SW
- 10 tasks completed - Squadron may change its Objective,
Name, and its fighters to any Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 ships, all
participants awarded an IS-GW
Craft Tiers
- Tier 1 - TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor, TIE Bomber, Assault
Gunboat
- Tier 2 - All non-capital, non-Rebel, non-EH developed ships
that appear on the Complete Craft List
- Tier 3 - Fighters developed by the EH Science Office like
the TIE Dragon and the Spectre Advanced Missile Boat. Also, Rebel
fighters like the X-Wing and A-Wing. (COM Note: Why would we be flying
Rebel junk? :P)

because of COVID-19, I am now working from 10:30 AM to
9:30 PM ET Sunday-Wednesday. Days off are Thursday,
Friday and Saturday.
I will not be working on Sunday, April 26th so I will be available. I
