Pete Says Thank You

FA Silvius took one last look around his quarters on the VSDII Aggressor, both to make sure he was not leaving anything behind, and to savor the memories of the last three years.  Then, like any good imperial officer would, he turned, walked out the door, and left it in the past.  He walked down to the hall towards the turbolift and hit the button to open the doors.  He heard the whirring of the machinery bringing the car up, and it took a moment to get there, slightly annoying Silvius.  The car was supposed to be stationed at his level when he was up there.  When the doors opens, he got a bit of a surprise.  FA Pete Mitchell was in the lift, waiting for him.

“I thought I’d come by to send you off.  Nothing fancy, but I figured I ought to thank you for your three years of impeccable service to the Empire.”

“Thanks Pete, I appreciate the thought.  It’s been great to work with you.”

“The pleasure has been mine,” Pete said as they walked out of the turbolift on the hangar level.  They walked in silence for a moment.  When they got near the door to the hangar, Pete said, “Oh, I almost forgot.  I’ve got to give you this…”  Pete fumbled around his pockets for a moment.

“What?”

“Oh, well, we might as well go in to the hangar…” Pete noticed the door opening in front of them as they stood there.  As they got through the entry hallway and past the security room, a huge crowd of pilots and troopers appeared.

Silvius noticed FA Plif, and GA Rapier as well. 

Pete spoke again, this time with his voice amplified and echoing through the hangar deck.  “Fleet Admiral Silvius, Grand Admiral Rapier and I would like to present you with this small token of our appreciation for your excellent service to the Empire as Combat Operations Office.  We hereby award you with the Medal of Honor!”

“Wow, thank you Sirs!  I wasn’t expecting this!” 

“You have earned it,” replied Rapier.

“Thanks again for your service Silvius.” Pete saluted.  “Now, I guess you can board your shuttle.  ORRR, you could put your bag down and head to the cantina…”

News

Well, now it is official.  FA Silvius has stepped down from COO to become COL Silvius and join Epsilon Squadron as a FL.  He is succeeded by, now, Rear Admiral John T. Clark.  GN Elwood the Brave has taken GN Clark’s position as CMDR of Epsilon Squadron. 

This past week we welcomed two pilots to the fleet.  LT Mirei Seppen returned from a long time away, then Charlie X joined from Daedalus and already earned himself a promotion to LT!

In TIE Corps in Battle, we had a clean sweep this week from LCM SL8c8!  Congratulations!

BSF’s are due by midnight GMT on November 30^th.

Rules:

Every month, there will be a full battle from each of the major SP platforms (TIE, XvT, XWA) assigned.  Pilots will fly each battle that they choose and BSF the battles to the TC database and forward the BSF email to Pete Mitchell.  If the pilot has earned a high score, BSF it and also send the pilot file to Pete Mitchell in case the BSF is not approved in time.  Please also forward the BSF confirmation to Pete Mitchell as well. 

Each month the pilot with the highest score in each platform will earn 10 points.  The next highest score will earn 9, the next highest 8, then 7, then 6 and so on.  All submissions will earn at least 5 points.  Any mission high scores, will earn 1 bonus point, and any battle high scores will earn 2 bonus points.  High scores are determined at the time the BSF was submitted.  If a high score is beat by another pilot in the same competition that submitted after, both pilots will receive the bonus points.  If a pilot submits a BSF that would have been a high score, but was beat by another pilot that submitted before, no bonus points will be awarded to the second submission.  Points will accumulate for the year for more awards. 

Participation points will also be tallied by ship and squadron.  One point per battle flown.  Flying participants of top participating ships and squadrons will earn extra rewards.

IS-PW/GW/SW for 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total points for the year.  (at least 5 participants)

IS-GW/SW/BW for 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total points for the year in each platform (at least 4 participants)

IS-GW/SW/BW for all flying members of squadrons with 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total participation points.

IS-GW/SW/BW for all flying members of ships with 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total participation points.

Monthly:

IS-GW/SW/BW for 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total points for the month (at least 3 participants).

IS-SW/BW for 1^st and 2^nd in each platform (at least 2 participants).
