Pete Gets the Bad News

FA Mitchell was sitting in Silvius’s office with FA Plif and FA Silvius.  They were in Silvius’s office because they were using the VSD Aggressor for RtF.   

Pete opened, “Well now that we have everyone’s ideas in, whose do you think is best?”

Plif replied, “I like General Yoda’s idea.”

Silvius replied, “I’m a fan of VA Antiel’s”

Pete said, “I’m with Silvius on this one.  The real test is the execution, though… Alright, well that wasn’t too bad to choose.  I’ll announce the winner of this round now.  See you guys soon.”

“Pete, could you stay back a second?” Silvius asked.

“Sure, Silvius.  What’s up?”

“Pete, I’ve lost it.”

“Lost what?”

“I’ve lost the edge.”

“No!  You’re not turning in your wings, are you?”

“No, nothing so drastic.  I am resigning as COO, however.”  Silvius slid a piece of paper across his desk.

Pete picked up the resignation letter.  “I am sorry to hear that, you’ve been a great help to the fleet these years.  In fact, ever since I’ve been back on active duty.  We’ll miss you.” 

“Thank you, Sir.  My resignation will be effective November 1^st.  I believe GN Clark would be the best choice for my successor.”

“I agree.  GN Clark would make a fine successor to you.  I guess that is the best we can do, because no one can replace you.  I’ll make the arrangements.”

“Please put me in Epsilon, Sir.”

“As Commander, when GN Clark vacates?”

“No sir, I was thinking of Flight 3 Leader”

“Ah, Woody’s interested in command again?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Well, I guess this will all work out cleanly at least…  Thank you for all your service Fleet Admiral Silvius.  It’s been fun.”

News

Well, the news is now out, if you read the fiction.  FA Silvius will be resigning on his 3 year anniversary as COO.  GN John T. Clark will succeed him and hit the ground running, I’m sure.  GN Elwood the Brave will take over Epsilon Squadron.  Thank you to Silvius for all of his hard work to keep the COO office running efficiently.  Eventually RL gets us all…

The MP Bonus Competition has just concluded and I am sure we will get results soon.  The fiction results have been announced as well.  Congratulations to VA Hav Antiel!  It was definitely a tough decision. 

The Graphics Bonus Competition is underway and will conclude on September 28^th.  The SP Bonus Competition has just begun as well and will end with RtF on September 30^th.

In Raise the Flag overall, the Hammer has the lead so far with 4320 points, and the Warrior is at 1191.  We won’t talk about the Aggressor….

TCiB continues in September, so don’t forget to fly, even with RtF!.

BSF’s are due by midnight GMT on September 30^th.

Rules:

Every month, there will be a full battle from each of the major SP platforms (TIE, XvT, XWA) assigned.  Pilots will fly each battle that they choose and BSF the battles to the TC database and forward the BSF email to Pete Mitchell.  If the pilot has earned a high score, BSF it and also send the pilot file to Pete Mitchell in case the BSF is not approved in time.  Please also forward the BSF confirmation to Pete Mitchell as well. 

Each month the pilot with the highest score in each platform will earn 10 points.  The next highest score will earn 9, the next highest 8, then 7, then 6 and so on.  All submissions will earn at least 5 points.  Any mission high scores, will earn 1 bonus point, and any battle high scores will earn 2 bonus points.  High scores are determined at the time the BSF was submitted.  If a high score is beat by another pilot in the same competition that submitted after, both pilots will receive the bonus points.  If a pilot submits a BSF that would have been a high score, but was beat by another pilot that submitted before, no bonus points will be awarded to the second submission.  Points will accumulate for the year for more awards. 

Participation points will also be tallied by ship and squadron.  One point per battle flown.  Flying participants of top participating ships and squadrons will earn extra rewards. 

Awards:

Annual:

IS-PW/GW/SW for 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total points for the year.  (at least 5 participants)

IS-GW/SW/BW for 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total points for the year in each platform (at least 4 participants)

IS-GW/SW/BW for all flying members of squadrons with 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total participation points.

IS-GW/SW/BW for all flying members of ships with 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total participation points.

Monthly:

IS-GW/SW/BW for 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd total points for the month (at least 3 participants).

IS-SW/BW for 1^st and 2^nd in each platform (at least 2 participants).
