Welcome pilots of Wing I to this,
our first Weekly* Wing I Report!
As I hope you're all aware I was
taken on by the Admiralty to look over the wing whilst our SOO, HA Frodo March,
is away on an extended Leave of Absence. His presence will still be felt as,
although officially away until sometime in August, he will have the odd few
minutes for us here and there (which is good as he will hopefully have plenty
of medal awards to process as the Wing Commander is in no position to do so).
As we only have one wing in the
TC at the moment, the SOO's role includes that of the WC, so this will be
a temporary stint at command for me, as I'll be surplus to requirements on
his return. So I'm hoping to make it as successful for both myself and the
wing as possible (no pressure..!).
I'd be grateful if you could all
excuse the 'randomness' of this 1st report, as I'm unable to study the 'WM'
IWATS course, I'm not entirely sure what should be here, so bear with me as
things can only get better!! =)
Big news of course this week is
that the Raise the Flag Competition is in full-swing and, other than a slight
hiccup at the beginning with the Fiction comp, it seems to be going very
well with several pilots active across the different Squadrons.
Hopefully we shall now settle-in
to a few weeks of furious activity during this great event!

In Closing:
Well, I think we can call this a fine 1st week of the RtF and
for the Wing in general - both the SOO and TCCOM are officially away at the
moment & no-one's managed to blow anything up, a major coup, I think!!
All I ask is that you keep up the good work and for the CMDR's
to keep their pilots well informed (it would be nice to see a WSR from someone
OTHER than Delta Sqn also).
Remember to keep in mind those Secret Missions - worth 1500
Bonus Points and, although gained in a different way last time around, these
bonus points were what eventually won it for Gamma - It could mean the difference
between you winning or losing the chance to become the "TCCOM's Own"
Squadron and locking AD Vip away, just as LC Miles Prower did! =)
On a more serious note, we are still looking for a Squadron
CMDR to lead Apha - FL's this could be your next move "up the ladder".
I would be happy to hear from anyone who wishes to become a good Leader to this
Sqn, from whoever applies.
