THE NEW EMPIRE
PROLOGUE
A pale clarity of midnight was reflected by the dashed sky of Burk.
The stars and constellations were almost darkened due to the
planet’s altered atmosphere, filtering their iridescent and vivid
colours through it. The wind alone, almost a dead voice, barely
breathing, caressed my skin so delicately.
A moment of perfect peace was taking possession of us, so
magnificent and unique, that soul wished it to be eternal.
But the true reality was much different.
On the vaulted and clear sky, other forms could be distinguished
crossing it, twinkling more intensely than the sky. Our senses could
recognize beauty on their glare, but due to our knowledge we could
only feel fear. For the moment, the cloudless sky was our enemy, and
the violet and orange clouds sifted on the horizon, which started
fading, and darkening it, were our last hope. Before their magnetic
influence interfered with our equipment, I was glancing over my
electronic data pad. Perhaps would be good to recall a little,
rejuvenate, through the memory of my ancient principles. If it was
the best.
With a renewed peace, I began to remember my forgotten memories…
“Name: Earnim Branet
Rank: Sublieutenant
Location: Alertness post Nº 1252-B-12-k, Planet Burok, class M,
about the Foggy of Hiigara.
State: Awaitingâ€â€¦
First Chapter: The First Encounter
I
Nothing can describe first time you see a Victory class Star
Destroyer, with all activity lights and its propelling nozzles
powering up, driving it to the dock. Its thin and stylized profile,
with its vertical and activated weapons of war in salute position,
issuing the rigor sparkles and with the disembarkation codes that go
from the red until the blue in intermittent form, is shortened
towards the horizon as if made it until the infinite. As we get
closer to the conveyor salon the sheer enormity of the destroyer
seems to fill my eyes, its size taking up all the room in the
reception station. The customs officers could notice my impression,
some exchange mocking glances amongst them, some apparently saying “
hey, there goes a new oneâ€.
It must be something unavoidable. It’s impossible to imagine the
size of these destroyers until you see it for the first time. It was
to one of those destroyers that I was first commissioned.
I am what is usually known as a “Farmer of Junksâ€. I was born on a
planet on the edge of the galaxy, to a family that, for generations,
used all kind of robots on our farm work. From there the nickname
with the one we are known in the rest of the planets. For each
person, there are almost 10 robots, the majority devoted to the
agriculture, and the rest assigned to domestic tasks. It’s no
surprise that our people have become robotics experts (above all of
tailing), being able to arm a robot with surpluses of a junks
collector. But that wasn’t my vocation. Therefore I enlisted in the
Imperial Academy and I graduated as Sublieutenant to travel through
the galaxy…
My first assignment was aboard the Victory Class Star Destroyer
Intrepid, and thusly I was sent, near other recruits to the space
station “Belmar IVâ€. This is a huge circular like docking station,
strongly armed and with the command center of Commander Kingsley
inside. After waiting two weeks, our assignments were finally
approved.
Sirs, it does not make lack that repeats the events that have had
place now last! They are public Knowledge. The rebels forces had
taken control of the system Sigma Deltanor and its capital, the
planet Herevia. They have also destroyed two of our space stations.
However, you can be sure that in a short time we will remove them
from the planet. For the time being, we have another destination,
which will be we communicated to you in due time. Take your baggage
and report to your flight leader for new orders. We depart in one
hour!Long Live
the Empire!
Long Live the Empire!…The
echo of a thousand voices filled the great hanger, adjacent to the
docking room. Hundred of uniforms, black and green, were mixed near
a great excitement ripple. Knowing that we would soon be seeing
action was filling us with emotions and the majority filled up of an
almost youthful fervour.
II
The sound of the Lambda T- 4th class conveyor through the hyperspace
was hulling. The five Sublieutenants and the Lieutenant who had been
assigned to the star destroyer Intrepid were a little bit sleepy.
The loquacious chat started a long time ago had become slow. But we
had been able to develop a growing sense of camaraderie through it.
Our wing leader, the Lieutenant Von Predator, turned out to be a
provincial, too, came from one of the extremes of the Empire, which
had belonged to the republic a short time ago, and now it was one of
the last border posts. When we asked him where he was assigned
before, he answered in the Imperial destroyer Chimaera, and that he
had won his second lieutenant stripes in the attack to the rebel
frigate “Artemisaâ€. Even though his Tie Bomber was completely put
out of action and without being able to continue the battle, he
could infiltrate through all the A- Wing class interceptors, placing
his ship over the command center and discharging all space bombs,
which had left the frigate completely blind and without any power to
respond effectively to other bombers’ attack. From there on, he was
called the Hawk of Balantar, name of the planet where he came from.
However, he assured it was a maneuver that he would not try to do in
the future again, unless it was absolutely necessary…
- Lieutenant Von Predator, you are requested in the pilots room!…
His disconcerting expression indicated us that loudspeaker call was
not a normal proceeding. While he moved to the other room, some
shared questioning looks, as if they were trying to get the answer,
but we had to wait some minutes, even though they seemed to be
longer than normal.
- We are going to change the course, Von Predator explained, while
he settled into a comfortable position and fastened his seat belt.
- We received an alert message coded through a subspace wave. The
intrepid had to leave his former position by high command order, up
to quadrant Omega. As you know, that is the farthest Imperial border,
before the Foggy of Hiigara, and the only Imperial post, which has
not been attacked by the rebel alliance. Relax and rest as much as
you can. It is going to take more than normal to get the Intrepid.
Obviously, I could not take any rest. My anxiety impeded it. I am
sure that my other fellows could not do it either.
To be continue.........................
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings.
Again CPT Rando has stood
out in the Tie Corps on Patrol competition winning on all three
platforms (TIE, XvT and XWA) which fills the Sin squad with pride.
And our General Ric Hunter continues his battle against the rebels
and pirates by completing the XWA-TC 60 battle with 19 missions. An
excellent week for Sin!.
As we had announced in the
previous report, the FL position of wing three of our squadron is
vacant. Any member of the Tie Corps who is interested in this
position will be very welcome. Just send your request to my e-mail
ehbranet@yahoo.com
with a copy to RA Hav Antiel (havantiel@gmail.com),
and AD Plif (plif346@gmail.com)
indicating your interest. Take this opportunity to gain experience
and rank within the TC, in addition to being members of one of the
best squadrons of the Warrior!.
All right. In this report I
am rewriting an old fiction, which I did in my youth, when I had
just entered the empire. Of course, it has several flaws both
grammatical (Due to the translation from Spanish into English) and
canonical, since they do not conform to the Star Wars canon. It is,
shall we say, a free creation. I'll bore you some weeks with my
fiction, until a new one is sent to me. For this reason I invite
anyone who wishes to send me their fictions to be published in my
reports. Do not be shy and send your creations. All will be welcome. |

|
I will summarize competitions that apply to Sin in this section, but you should always check the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.
- Project 659
Each month, fly the SP battles indicated in the Sin Weekly Squadron Report and earn bonus points for high scores and fastest submissions.
- Commodore's Library
Each month in the commodores report their will be a new theme listed. Write at least a paragraph about the theme to participate. Winner will get the title of Commodore's Librarian and will choose the next theme for the report.
- Top Muse
Each week submit your idea to AD Pete Mitchell
for participation.
- Wing II Commander's Escort Flight / Warrior Commodore's Escort Flight
These are MP and SP versions of the same comp: fly enough missions to rank among the top four on the Warrior for the month to earn points. Iron Stars are awarded to the top four every month with a quarterly bonus. For the Commodore's Escort Flight,
LoCs and LoSs are summed for the total.
- TIE Corps on Patrol
For 2018, TCoP is moving to every other week. VA Pete Mitchell is taking the TCoP helm this year, so please note that BSF emails/pilot files will be due by 5 pm Pacific/8 pm Eastern/1 am London one every other Monday starting January 15.
- TIE Corps Pilot League
Like TCoP, the Pilot League is a single-player comp taking place every other week. The difference here is that pilots have a rolling handicap. Each round, the pilot with the highest handicap score (expressed as a percentage of the high score) in each platform will earn 4 points. The next highest score will earn 3, the next highest 2, and all other submissions will earn 1. If the winning pilot in a platform also beat the high score (without the handicap added), that pilot will earn 5 points for that platform.
- TIE Corps on Recon
Submit a screenshot each week from one of Star Conflict's multiplayer game modes (Domination, Beacon Hunt, PvE, Team Battle, and Combat Recon). Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.
- TIE Corps vs AI
Submit a screenshot each week from Star Conflict's Player vs. AI modes. Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

The Project 659 competition continues! The pilots of Sin have
all the month of October to complete these battles for the platforms

The points will be tracked and an IS-BW medal awarded for every 5
points and an IS-SW medal for every 20 points.
OCTOBER ASSIGNMENTS
How were these battles selected? The following criteria were used:
