Epsilon WSR #18

Pilots of
Epsilon.
More flying this week, especially
in the TIE Golf Competition, where all 3 of us got both the TIE-free's in
on-time. You can take a look at the rankings HERE.
Both myself and LT Caydin Makarin
are still in the top 10 (with LCM Halk Knight just off the leader-board @
11th). Somehow I've managed to move up into 5th place, but as I'm up against
the SOO, who's 1st, things aren't looking too good... Sadly also, 2 pilots
have dropped-out of the competition:- LC Miles Prower & LT Matt Adler.
Again though, I am seeing flight
activity but we are lacking in comms activity. I have still only received
2 replies regarding the inter-squad competition, this is very poor as I've
not even received a reason why you cannot give your ideas, as in the
main the email has been ignored. There a 6 of you that need to rectify this,
please do so in the next week.
Sadly, we also have one pilot who
is about to be AWOL'd and one other who is very close to it. I would rather
NOT see any more pilots leave us, and one email a week is hardly a huge burden
upon your time - please try to contact myself and/or your FL once a week if
at all possible. =)
On a happier note, congratulations
go to CPT Dunta Polo for reaching 1500 FCHG points this week, and the rank
of [OPTIO] - top flying!!
When you have time - Recruit, fly,
think of a motto/nickname for your Flight, and, above all, have fun...

In Closing:
It is my wish to see more drive & commitment within our
ranks. Now, I know that several of you have good activity, whilst others not
so, but I'd like to give all a 'goal' to strive for whilst being an Epsilon
Pilot (present or future...). To this end I would like to setup an Epsilon Squadron
'Tradition'.
This 'Tradition' will be the subject of a month-long Competition
starting tomorrow, 1st February. The idea will be for you all to send in your
entries regarding what sort of a goal should be set for Epsilon Pilots to strive
for. I am open to all suggestions (other than the actual award to be given on
completion, as that will depend on what the 'goal' is set at and what the SOO/TCCOM
thinks is a suitable one) and please remember to EXPLAIN your reasons for choosing
it. So, remember we have SP (which MUST be a major part of the 'Tradition'),
MP, graphics, fiction etc... (also remember that we create missions,
as well as fly them - anything that a TC pilot can do could be used).
So there are almost an infinite amount of options to choose from. Remember also
to take into account the Squad name, role and anything else that may be pertinent.
The best idea will win an IS-BR and the satisfaction of knowing that you have
set the 'goal' for all Epsilon Pilots to attain, I may even put your name to
it! (If I have more than one good idea which can be made into a great
idea, then I will award IS-BR's to each of those entries).
Just as an example I will give you the following (it would NOT
be good enough to win, though!)
"To achieve the 'Epsilon Tradition' and be awarded the
*****, a Pilot of Epsilon Squadron must fly the 1st 11 TIE-TC Battles (as we
are the 11th Strike Squadron) and write a short fiction based on your experiences
flying any one of them."
Hope you get the idea...
Moving on, it's the end of the month again and the Monthly Squad
Evals will go off tomorrow. Some good activity from several of you once more,
so I'm hoping to see some awards given out! =)
Until next time...........
You are dismissed.
Respectfully submitted.
Major RichyV. Commander of Epsilon Squadron.
