Epsilon WSR #3

Pilots of Epsilon.

A complicated week - that's for sure! Merrily going about my business & doing no harm to anyone - during the week, Wednesday came, along with 7 (yes seven) Microsoft Windows updates - lovely! Halfway through an XWA Battle and a TIE one for the TAC office and a reboot finds my computer without any 3D rendering, weirdest thing, even 'Aero' stopped working!! Anywho, no amount of installing, reinstalling, uninstalling etc. made any difference, so I bit the bullet and installed Windows 7 RC and here I am - not 100% up and running, but nearing it. So, a little stressed from all the time I put into trying to fix my Vista partition, but have emerged relatively unscathed. =)

Squadron-wise we are still seeing flying & we've had a new member join us in the guise of fellow Fury-member LC Quincy Nelson! Also on the agenda this week has been our ship choices & we're still awaiting several of you to vote, so I'm having to hold-off from definitive choices but can't do so for long...

You'll notice that we do have a new Squadron motto & nickname, for which I must partially thank CPT Ard Royber for his efforts. We are still in-need of Flight-specific ones though, so have a think and send me some entries!

In-squad comms are very healthy and I've only not heard from 2 of you this week - please try to make sure next week doesn't pass you by though... =)

A resurrected IWATS course came on-line this week, XWAC is now available and I'm hoping to take it soon along with XWAI, as long as my PC decides to keep working, that is..!

In Closing:

As mentioned above we're keeping-up with our comms very well and flight-activity is on-going, although this could be better I know of 2 pilots that are looking to 'up' their BSF-rate & that's great news as I'm sure we'll have some flying comps in the not-too-distant future!.

Our ships NEED TO BE CHOSEN, so if you've not yet voted for each of the 3 Flight's ships then I really need you to do so (I'm in need of at least another 2 pilots' votes), and SOON!

OK, well the last piece of news I will leave you with is that I will be away on RL holiday from 19th-27th September (inclusive) and, as squad XO, CM Dunta Polo will be taking temporary charge as Epsilon's aCMDR. I will be producing WSR#4 next Friday before I leave as there are things that will need to be reported by then, I'm sure... ;-)

So, slightly earlier/shorter report next week due to time-constraints.
