Report Introduction
Greetings, fellow Imperials. A new year is soon to come after today and that means big things for both Epsilon Squadron itself but also for the TIE Corps as a whole. I myself will be stepping down from my role as Epsilon Squadron Commander. But before you start sobbing into your helmets, you won't be rid of me. For as of today I will be taking command of the ISDII Hammer itself as General Dempsey returns to active flight status in Delta Squadron. I am happy to also announce that Epsilon will be transitioning to a new Squadron Commander that will be coming from within the ranks. Commander Drake Starfire will be your new commander! This will be his second command, having previously led Kappa Squadron on the ISDII Warrior. We also gain Lieutenant Nathan Cole from Delta Squadron as our new Epsilon Flight 3 Leader!

Now with that said, I must move on however to unpleasant news that I was hoping that would not come to pass for some time. The Star Wars family but also the entertainment industry itself has taken terrible losses consecutively this week.

Carrie Fisher, who several decades ago at the age of 19 took upon the role of one of the key members of our respected Rebel opposition, Princess and later General Leia Organa has died at the age of 60 after complications from a severe cardiac incident on December 27, 2016. She was an icon not only in film as an actress but also an exceptional script doctor, helping to fix the writing for several notable films as well as being an outspoken advocate for mental health.

The next day on December 28th, equally legendary actress but more importantly, Carrie's mother Debbie Reynolds had died as well, at the age of 84. The world has lost two wonderful women and I myself, and I'm certain all of us here at the Emperor's Hammer wish to express my condolences to the Fisher/Reynolds family.  Carrie and Debbie will always be in our hearts and their work will forever immortalize them.

Closing
