It's Christmas!

And yes, I'm sitting here writing my report. What dedication to duty! Such you have never seen before!

Anyways, this will be my last report. Not of 2016, but ever. For the foreseeable future anyway. By this time next week, I will probably be a simple FM again, or the first time in over 7 years not wearing my High Admiral's pips. That'll be new. I will of course handle the December MShipE. As such, All CMDRs are expected to deliver their MSEs before Friday, January 6th.

With the year nearly gone, I urge all commanders to consider their squadron competitions for next year. Remember they are one of the driving forces for your squadron's activity!

The week's been fairly quiet. Some more bugs on the site were found and fixed. I'm working on some MP stats tracking thingie for the COO that should make tracking competitions a bit easier, and of course there's the big discussions going on recently. As a first step, the TCCOM has opened up one of the recurring questions to the members: should the TIE Corps remain a flying-only platform or open up to other non-flying games as well. On the one hand I'd say yes, but I voted to stay flight only anyway - we want new members, but I seriously doubt changing the flight only thing is going to do that. I do believe we'll have a better chance if we would maybe allow non-Star Wars flightsims, but that's another discussion.

Most of the November MSE medals have been awarded, in the coming days I'll check to see which ones are still missing and fix that.

This week also saw a preomotion, one long awaited, as it took CPT Ibram Gaunt no less than 12 and a half years to get out of his Commander rank! Granted, he wasn't on active duty for most of those years, but still. Congrats to you, captain!

In case you're interested, the job as Delta Commander is no longer on the table. Next week, as COL Clark steps down after taking over from me in February last year, his place will be taken by MAJ Phoenix Berkana. Kudo's to you and good luck! As for my own job, I know there's at least one application, but haven't heard yet if the TCCOM has made a decision. I'm sure that will work itself out.

I wish I had a big going away speech, but I don't. It's gonna be nice to be a FM again with no responsibilities other than having one and showing some activity. The last few months have been horrible for me activity wise if you don't count the site. But I'm slowly getting back into the cockpit.
