ISD-II Hammer
Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.080
Report date: October 2, 2016
Well, September is over, so you can wake me up again. September was a very quiet month for me with roughly speaking 2 MP matches in 3 weeks, an all time low in
my entire TC career..... Let's hope that ends.
On to the good news: LT Michael LeRoy received his long-awaited promotion to Lieutenant Commander,
many many kudos on that to you. And I have a feeling more are on their way, as not only this LT, but also LT Dan-Elin is fully back to active duty, and I
spoke with LT Syntrth on IRC this week who is also finding time for the TC again!
September ends, October starts, so September MSEs are due on my desk as soon as possible. Two of them were already submitted yesterday, two more to go :)
And with the start of October, so starts the October Onslaught competition. This is what I feel sets the Hammer aside from
the Warrior: twice a year, I run a ship-wide month-long competition offering chances and opportunities for all, both in the flying and the non-flying
parts of the TIE Corps. We have had the February Frenzy, One Hammer to Rule Them All, and now the October Onslaught. This is YOUR chance
to shine!
Lastly, many kudos to GN Coranel Both on his 15th anniversary as a member of the TIE Corps, GN Golbez Harvey
on his 12th, and GN Dunta Polo on his 9th! What's up with all these generals this month.....
I am looking forward to participating in the COM's big competition, I hope everyone else is too. Don't forget, it's not just the weekly medals up for grabs, but a
great performance will also reflect in October's Evaluations. I expect all pilot's to do their best, and beat me in this competition. There will be latrine duties for
all who fail to impress me!
Getting only 2 answers to yesterday's trivia is NOT a good start, people!

Every week, the report will have a screenshot. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR.
Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!

In general
Everything that has to do with time will be issued via the TC website (you must be logged in to access the appropriate page). Your time will start when you open the page, and will end when you submit your solution.
Bear in mind that you can only submit your solution ONE TIME, because you won't be able to access the submission form again. You can, however, close your browser window between opening the page and submitting your
solutions. In total, I am olffering up 2x IS-GW, 5x IS-SW, 5x IS-BW, 4x IS-GR, 7x IS-SR, 11x IS-BR, so there's plenty of chances to grab yourself at least one of these 35 medals!
assignments given via the TC website should be submitted via the website
assignments given via e-mail should be submitted via e-mail but only to me, and not to the ISDII Hammer mailing list!
Flying
4 weeks - 4 flying tasks. As usual with me, I won't be going for "best of the best" or "high score" since that seriously limits the chances of most pilots. Instead, the goal will be something achievable by all!
| week 1: | Star Conflict PvP Efficiency - fly a Star Conflict PvP mission and the tier of your choice and get as close to 555 efficiency points as possible. In case of tie, missuion time will be the tie breaker. |
| week 2: | TIE Fighter points - details TBA |
| week 3: | Star Conflict PvE Kills - details TBA |
| week 4: | TIE Fighter kills - details TBA |
Non-flying
4 weeks - 4 different tasks that have nothing to do with flying!
| week 1: | Seven Degrees of Separation - get from A to B in as few clicks as possible. In case of a tie, the site-recorded time will be the tie breaker. |
| week 2: | Music Video screenscots - details TBA |
| week 3: | Flash Game Victory - details TBA |
| week 4: | Riddle me this, Dempsey - details TBA |
Fiction
For this comnpetition, you will have the entirety of the month, so no 4 different fictions, that would be asking too much :)
Objective: write a fiction between 1500 and 5000 words (no joke - you are limited). Also, in some way, the fiction should be about one of the Hammer's expeditions for the TIE Corps. Be sure to highlight your
own role in this expedition. I don't care if it's exploration, defense of the Empire, expansion, pirates or New Republic, it's your choice.
Fiction
you will receive a trivia question in your e-mail each day. 3 points for the 1st correct answer, 2 points for the second correct answer, 1 point for every other correct answer.
Weeks begin on the 1st, 9th, 16th and 23rd.
Medal Structure
First off, there's a points structure: the week's winner earns two points, every other qualifying participant earns 1 point.
The flying competition will yield:an IS-SW and IS-BW for the top 2 pilots each weekan overall IS-GW/SW/BW for the top 3 pilots over the montha bonus IS-GW if 1 pilot wins all 4 weeks
The non-flying competition will yield:an IS-SR and IS-BR for the top 2 pilots each weekan overall IS-GR/SR/BR for the top 3 pilots over the montha bonus IS-GR if 1 pilot wins all 4 weeks
The trivia competition will yield:an IS-BR for the top pilot each weekan overall IS-GR/SR/BR for the top 3 pilots over the montha bonus IS-GR if 1 pilot wins all 4 weeks
The fiction co mpetition will yield:an IS-GR/SR/BR for the top 3 fictionsThe COM will submit all fictions to the Warden and the Editor (which should give a LoA)
Get going on the October Onslaught folks. You should have gotten the first trivia question yesterday, so if you did noit, now is the time to let me know!
