Holy
smokes where is this year going? Seems like I just sent off the March
MSE, and here I am drafting the April one already…
First
off, I’d like to congratulate Lieutenant Zarroc Darkblade on passing
the IWATS Core exam with a perfect 100% score! We don’t often
talk about IWATS and the Imperial University, but honestly there is some
great stuff out there that has taught me a lot of real-world skills. I
learned how to make webpages in Notepad almost 20 years ago solely from the
IWATS IIC classes…not from my high school or college. IWATS SM4
is another good one to take, and is a pre-requisite for Squadron Commanders
if you see a leadership role in your future J
Not
much else to report at present; the bulk of the fleet is preparing for Raise
the Flag which is now only four weeks away. For my part, I’ve
already done a thorough check on Sin 1-1…TIE, XvT, BoP, and XWA are all
locked, cocked, and ready to rock. Standing orders for May are that all
Sin pilots do the same for any and all platforms you own. Remember, if
you need help getting the older games up and running on a new rig, just ask...I’ve
played TIE Fighter on every operating system from Windows 3.1 thru Windows 10
Pro 64-bit, and all the patches to accomplish this are still on my drive.
If
the MP bonus round is anything like last year’s, it helps if you can
submit on as many different platforms as possible…even if it’s
just one match. So don’t neglect Battlefront 3 or SW:TOR’s
Galactic Starfighter…even if you only use them for one match they’re
easy points. That said…it looks like Star Conflict is still going
to be the best grind for mass-points-per-hour in the multiplayer round.
Finalized
rules and schedule for Raise the Flag are still being discussed amongst the Admiralty,
but it looks like they’ll be wrapping that up pretty soon. Look
for more concrete info in my next report…along with a Sinner’s-only
addendum with some juicy intel that should help us get the most bang for our
time spent flying. I won’t lie to you; we’re going into
Raise the Flag as the smallest squadron…7 pilots against a full
squadron of 12 (Kappa) and several others with 11 (Alpha, Sigma, Theta).
We’re going to need everyone to bring their “A-game” on as
many platforms as possible. What we lack in numbers we make up for in
quality; I’ve seen what most of you can do in previous Raise the Flags,
and I have no doubt that with everyone flying we can do some serious damage.
Remember, we’re not just flying for ourselves and squadron pride; the Warrior
has been the flagship of the TIE Corps since she was commissioned back in
2014, and we fight to continue that legacy of utter domination into her third
year J
