Well, we stand on the eve of the big ship wide competition. Everything is ready (well, almost), and stuff has been set up and tested.
The Hammer's February Frenzy is on! The competition involves flying and non-flying, so everyone can participate. I especially
encourage all Commanders and Flight Leaders to give this a shot! See below for details.
News this week is scarce. We saw no promotions and no new arrivals on the Hammer this week, but we still had fun. Once again, we dominated the TCCOM and
SOO competitions. Also, for the first time I can recall, we now have fewer pilots on the roster than the Warrior. Get recruiting!
For us Star Conflict players, the game introduced a new game mode: 'Player versus AI' where you get to play rank 1 to 9 PvP matches
against bot only teams so you can practice. Unfortunately, this does not mean T1 PvP matches are free of this menace, which is weird. As with those bot matches, the
new Players vs AI matches qualify for Legions of Skirmish, so submit them to the COO Office as PvE matches. CM Silvius has started a
TCoR-type competition for these matches as well!
TAC Sienar has released some stuff HA Ender did I never got to doing. Some of the missions were borked, and once Ender had offered to
fix them, but when he disappeared I kinda hoped he'd get back to fixing em anyway. The new TAC didn't, and he fixed em up himself: so now we have two new TIE Battles:
TIE CD 1 & 2: CDNG: Paper Round is available to fly, and there's a TACcy competition attached where the 7 best pilots will win a shiny.
With the last day of the month also comes the usual paperwork: Commanders, pls have your MSEs on my desk by Friday!
And last but not least: congrats to LT Miakiri on earning his Commendation of Bravery!

Hammer's February Frenzy
Each week in February the Hammer's pilots shall be pitted against one another in several tasks, 4 each week. Each task will yield a winner, and to make things fair you will be given
2 flying task (TIE and SC) and 2 non-flying (photo IDs and online game) tasks every week. Per round and per task, the best performances with an IS-S* and IS-B*. Also, for each task
you complete, you will earn points: 5 pts for 1st, 4 pts for 2nd, etc. 5th and below will get 1 pt. At the end of the competition, all your points will be added to determine the winner,
and there will be an IS-GR/SR/BR for the top 3 finishers. As a twist, all pilot points will also count towards a squadron total, giving the two commanders with the best performing
squadrons an additional IS-SR/BR. Specifics will be sent to the Hammer mailing list on Mondays.
week 1 TIE Fighter: I will assign you a TIE free mission. The objective is to get the lowest score.
week 1 Star Conflict: Fly a PvP match - whoever gets closest to the assigned target score wins.
week 1 picture round: I will email you the address of a page containing 10 photo's of people. Who are they - whoever gets most right in the shortest time wins.
week 1 gaming round: I will email you the URL to a flash game - email me a screenshot and whoever has the highest score wins.
please not the following:
for Star Conflict PvP and PvE I'm referring to the classic style game modes - PvP means against other people, and PvE means the original PvE game types, so no PvP bot matches
for the picture round, 'shortest time' does not mean 'first to send me the answers' - your time starts when you open the assigned URL and ends when you submit your answers.
for the picture round, not that you must submit all answers at once, you cannot submit a few and continue at a later point.

Every week, the report will have a screenshot. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR.
Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
