Pilots of the mighty ISD-II Hammer, today is a sad day for all of us.

In a recent act of extreme violence, an unknown person aboard our ship apparanelt destroyed over 100 droids, and no less than 25 ewoks were found to be floating out in space. Although I have received several reports that I am responsible for this myself, I deny such claims. If anyone is to blame, it will be the SOO for defeating me in TCoR-PvE this week, after I submitted 160 kills!

On to other news. Good news in fact, as more pilots join the Hammer's ranks. First we saw Sub-lieutenant Dan-Elin join Beta squadron on Tuesday, and then on Saturday we were strengthened by Sub-lieutenant Miakiri who increased the numbers in Delta! Both by now have satisfied the requirements for their first promotion, so it's going to be party time on the Hammer next week! However, Beta's numbers also declined as COL Alexander Almasy was declared AWOL. Always sad to see a good officer disappear, let's hope he will return.

Also good news as the open Flight Leader positions are evaporating now that CM Trideo Arkson has stepped in as Flight Leader for Delta's Flight II. Good luck!

And more good news: another pilot has achieved actual pilot status by earning his Commendation of Bravery! Congrats, LT Zagro Fenn!

We're also seeing some new competitions popping up that won't need a lot of time, and don't require flying either. So jump on them folks! All competitions listed below as always. In this case, I would be referring to CMDR Antiel needs a droid and In Search of a Wing Commander.

Bad news though is that the Star Conflict LoC rules were amended to reflect changes in the game that will occasionally set up Tier 1 matches against bot-only teams. Seeing how that is not what PvP means, these matches are now relegated to be submitted as PvE matches! ,p> More bad news: it seems the new Destroyer class ships in Star Conflict are really making a mess of things in the PvP arenas. I'll be sticking to Tier 1 until that mess is solved. Despite this, I have started a competition where the first 3 people to show me their Destroyer will win a shiny!

Competiton wise, the Hammer's February frenzy is in the final stages of planning. The competition has been approved, so the basic layout is there, but some details still have to be filled in. Fact is that each round will start on a Monday, last one week, and will have a two flying AND two non flying components weekly. plenty of opportunities therefore to show me what you're made of! And just to make this more fun.... the Commander of the squadron that accumulates most points will win something extra, as will the Commander of the runner-up squadron!

Back to the good news! General Polo submitted his final MSE, and that means lots of medals were awarded. Of course I already received mine, and now the rest of you got yours too. And with that, I kept the best news for last: for his exceptionally long service as Squadron Commander, possibly even the longest tour in the history of this fleet, GN Polo has been awarded the Grand Order of the Emperor. Welcome to the Dagger-boys club!
