COO REPORT #16 |
FROM: COO/RA Hawkins
DATE SUBMITTED: 14th January 2016 |
TALES FROM THE AGGRESSOR |
THE ENDLESS IMPERIUM - PART 2
The bulky mass hung motionless, it's existence only shown by the black, empty patch of space that should
otherwise have been filled with stars and nebulae.
It was an immense object, easily the size of a small planetoid, but with no such regularity of form. Exact details
would have been impossible to determine, had anyone even been present to observe it. Had there been, the object
would have seemed dead. No lights illuminated its surface, no energy flairs could be spotted. Only on powerful
sensors would the fainest trace of an energy reading even be detecable, but that may have been explained away by the
forces of gravity interfearing with readings, or ghosts of energy feebly trailing through otherwise dead systems.
The small, unintelligible signals unintelligible form the object could easily have been dismissed as interference
patterns, or some echo of a pulsar discharge distorted as it bounced from the uneven surface of the object.
The object would, if known about, been of no interest to anyone save a salvage corporation with the infrastructure
to handle such a large object, or perhaps a few dedicated technology scavengers willing to invest some time
exploring the dark mass. Certainly nothing to draw the attentions of the great and powerful of the galaxy.
No, certainly not that.

Star Conflict Updates
Two bits of SC News.
Firstly, bot matches. The latest update has made T1 pilots who have to wait a long time end up in matches
against all bots. These matches are not PvP, and so cannot count for Legions of Combat. However, they will still
count for Legions of Skirmish.
If you are not sure if it is a bot match, there are a few indicators. The main one is that on the result screen, the
enemy pilots will be missing the 'thumbs up' logo that indicates a human player. Other indicators are that the
opposing team will esentially have almost no kills, and the match will have been desperately easy.
Make sure you submit the match correctly, else you will feel the wrath opf the denial email...
Secondly, and the literally BIG news, is destoryers! These massive ships cannot be bought, only constructed
in the workshop. Dempsey is running a competition to see who can get theirs the quickest:
Build Your Own
Destroyer - Entire TC
I've already seen one screen incorrectly submitted as a match report, so the TC has new ships under it's command
already!
Thanks
My thanks go out to CM Silvius, MAJ Drachen, COL Rau Aznable, COL Dan Stephens and LT Turel for their help in
pulling together a COO IWATS course through allowing their IDs to be used in screenshots that will feature in the
test.

COO COMPETITIONS |
This Month's Competitions:
COMBAT EVENTS
COO Monthly
Challenge 2016: - whole TC
Combat Events will run a little differently this year, for the COO Challege.
Each month, a new event will be organised, allowing us to switch between Star Conflict and BattleFront. Battelfront
is up first, and so at the end of January we'll be awarding the 1st DFC for an SW game in as long as I've been COO.
Must do more of that! To win, simply get the highest number of Kills + half AI Kills. Best of luck!
January Standings:
Top 3 ranked pilots:
1st - LT Junazee
2nd - COL D Stephens
3rd - LT K. Bleu
COMPETITIONS
MP
Ace Of The TIE Corps 2016 - whole TC
The Multiplayer Kill Board will used to keep track of points. Each LoC earns you a point for the competition,
and a DFC counts for 5 points. Whoever scores most points win. The numbers on the MP KillBoard at the end of the
month are the numbers that are tallied. If there are three participants then IS-GW/SW/BW, if only two IS-SW/BW, etc.
At the end of the year the top 3 pilots with the most points will receive IS-PW/GW/SW.
January Standings:
Top 3 ranked pilots:
1st - CM Silvius
2nd - FA Elwood
3rd - MAJ Drachen

Star Conflict: PvP Average Kills - whole TC
This competition will be for the highest average kill score achieved across all Star Conflict PvP
game modes. This competition will count Kills only. Assits will NOT be counted for this competition.
Each pilot must submit at least 5 matches to qualify for the competition, (as tracked by the MP Killboard, minus
any points awarded to a pilot for gaining a DFC).
All normal submission requirements apply. Submissions will be processed manually by the COO and COOA through the
normal MP submission process.
January Standings:
Top 3 ranked pilots:
1st - LC Wraith
2nd - COL John T Clark
3rd - FA Elwood the Brave
(Not to be goading anyone, but Woody only holds his place as the person who would be in 3rd place has only flown
4 matches and needs a minimum of 5...)

AND FINALLY... |
Bit of a longer and finally this week.
In the mail discussions the matter of whether the TC should update the timeline came up, to bring us into line with
the new films.
For myself, I have no strong feelings either way, but do feel that the loss of the old expanded universe presents us
with an opportunity to forge some new story of our own. Super Weapons and new designs of SD don't pop out of
nowhere. What was the EH doing whilst these things were happening? Were we able to maintain our level of advanced
fighter production? The fact the First Order still use modified TIE Fighter designs is no spoiler given their
presence in the marketing, but what about the EH? What would we be using 20+ years after Yavin?
Would love to hear some thoughts.
respectfully submitted
