FIRST BLOOD
The scream of the engines was all but deafening. TIEs were not designed for atmospheric flight, and the ship
protested violently at the forces being exerted upon it.
It weaved from side to side, never at quite the same time or in quite the same direction, jinking through the
oncoming fire. What the craft lacked in durability it made up for in manouverability, and it danced towards the
oncoming fighters. In moments, ships passed one another at bearly a hairs breadth, the engine was of each causing
the speeding craft to jolt in the turbulence.
Decelerating rapidly, the TIE swung into a tight bank to the right, trying to pull round into the rear arc of the
passing X Wings - but the enemy pilots were no rookies. Such a move was expected; one craft dummied a slow turn
whilst another other swung tightly in the opposite direction, hoping to catch the TIE as it chased the 'easy
target'. Nothing to do but to move on, get clear and find a fresh target. There were plenty to choose from.
An opportunity presented itself. One X Wing was pulling away from the fight. It must have suffered hits on the
inital pass and was moving to recover some shileds before returning to the frey. The TIE sped towards it, lining up
the target reticule in the pilot's view screen with the most probbale line of flight. A burst of green blaster fire
streaked towards the X Wing, impacting on the rear deflectors, and causing the pilot to attempt to weave away. But
the move was clumsy. This was far from an experienced pilot - it was clear. The TIE stayed behind the X Wing,
pushing energy into the weapons and saturating the air before it in glowing green energy.
Suddenly, a flash of red caused the TIE to vear away from its target. Another X Wing had moved to defend its fleeing
sister ship. The TIE swung up and round in a high arc, moving clear of the line of fire and bringing it's own
weapons back around to the inital target. Athough further away, the crat still moved inexpertly, and the TIE dumped
energy back to the engines and raced after, firing bursts of blaster fire towards it before jinking out of the path
of oncoming fire.
In moments, the TIE was rewarded with a the bright bloom of an explosion as a shot penetrated the hull of teh X
Wing, causing secondary internal damage that ripped the ship apart.
First blood to the Empire.

LAST DAYS OF THE MONTH
As we approach the end of the month, the end of the monthly competitons are getting near! Last calls for Star
conflict PvP Kills, PvE Efficiency, and Pyrrhic Victory screens! Get them in by the end of Monday - and results will
be announced on the first! Or as close as I can manage!
BATTLEFRONT 2015
Battlefront 2015 has arrived!
And... the first screens are in! Looks lots of fun, and can't wait to get playing myself! However, I'd like to just
reiterate the conditions for submission:
- Screen must be a Victory
- A minimum of 1 'Kill' must be achieved, no matter the number of 'AI Kills'.
- Screenshot must show 'in the air' background
Make sure you check these conditions before submitting!

This Combat Event will be for the coveted DFC. Your goal will be to submit a victory
screenshot with the highest number of kills plus half assists (rounded down) you can get in one round of Star
Conflict's Domination or Team Battle modes. Processed by the COO and COOA via the normal MP submission
process.

The Multiplayer Kill Board will used to keep track of points. Each LoC earns you a point for the competition,
and a DFC counts for 5 points. Whoever scores most points win. The numbers on the MP KillBoard at the end of the
month are the numbers that are tallied. If there are three participants then IS-GW/SW/BW, if only two IS-SW/BW, etc.
At the end of the year the top 3 pilots with the most points will receive IS-PW/GW/SW. XWA, XvT, Star Conflict, and
Freelancer-Freeworlds are the authorized platforms for this competition.

Star Conflict:
Pyrrhic Victory: - whole TC
In some battles, the odds are simply insurmountable, and victory beyond even the reach of the greatest TC pilots.
However, in defeat you force the foe to face such a heavy cost, that their victory is hollow.
In the spirit of Thermopylae, this competition is to recognize those battles where you fly your heart out, rack up
kill after kill, score objective after objective - yet victory remained elusive.
To Enter, you must submit a screenshot via email at nedius@gmail.com showing
your highest Efficiency in a match that was a Defeat.
You may submit one screen for the competition. However, you may update that screen if you subsequently score a
higher EFF. If there are three participants then IS-GW/SW/BW, if only two IS-SW/BW, etc.

This competition marks the beginning of the revitalization of the TC's Combat Center. It needs a major update and
overhaul! And we have our first entries! Yay!!So, to get involved, your challenge is to:
Design a new banner or header image for the Combat Center.
You may submit as many entries as you wish - each successful entry will be entered into the final running.

STARFIGHTER KILLS: - whole TC
This competition is to achieve the highest 'Kill' count in any single victorious battle submisison
for Battlefront 2015 Starfighter mode during the month of December. An IS-BW will be up for grabs if there is a
single entry, IS-SW/BW for two, and IS-GW/SW/BW for three or more entries. The competition will be tracked by the
COO and COOA via the normal LoS submission process. No additional/emailed submissions are required.
Star conflict: PvE
Wingman: - whole TC
[Status: Pending] Being an effective team member is vital to victory. Individual glory
comes second to the success of your team. This competition is to achieve the highest single 'Assists' score in any
PvE battle during the month of December. An IS-BW will be up for grabs if there is a single entry, IS-SW/BW for two,
and IS-GW/SW/BW for three or more entries. The competition will be tracked by the COO and COOA via the normal LoS
submission process. No additional/emailed submissions are required.
