Hi all!

My first week as not-TAC, and I can say I'm already enjoying life. Well, that's an overstatement, I do miss the idea. As for work, I don't get a chance to miss that as I already received a beta-test assignment to do. Which I already did. Yay me. Now to finish the last fixes on my X-wing battle, and fix Hawkins' TIE Fighter battle and I'm all off the hook! The new TAC, if you had not yet heard, is RA Xavier Sienar, former IW-TAC. That means he knows the drill a bit, and I will continue to be a member of the TAC staff. plus he has my email address. Oh dear.

One of my last official acts as Tactical Officer was the finishing up of the Karana Initiative series of battles. With the release of XWA TC 69, the entire story of our conflict with the Void Raptors, which started when La'an was still SOO, is now finally done. 9 battles across 4 platforms were created. I had fun making them, I hope there's at least one person out there who had fun flying them :)

We also have two new Flight Leaders this week. GN Both takes over as Beta's Flight II leader, while CPT Mauser takes command of Delta's Flight III. That means we now only have 3 open FL spots. One better than last week, but no good.

Good news and bad news mixed it up again this week, as always. The good news is the return of LT Benjo to Delta Squadron after he fell off the radar a while back. Welcome home, Lieutenant! More good news is the arrival of the transport with this month's MSE merit medals. We needed TWO ewoks to carry in the box of medals, and I can't even remember the last time we had three Bronze Stars of the Empire awarded in one month! An excellent showing, with medals to go around in all four squadrons! Several of them are still stuck in the pipeline though, they were supposed to send over two crates for us and only 1 arrived!

The bad news is the AWOL of several of our pilots, but that was a long time coming. We say goodbye to COL Astin, CM Hellionexus and LCM Nylan.

On the more good news side: GN Jarek La'an, former almost-everything, was awarded an Imperial Cross this week for all his work over the past years. Congratulations, and welcome to the club! Also, COL Golbez Harvey once again swept the TCoP competition with a win on all 3 platforms. Excellent work, sir!

Overall, I'd say the week has more ups than downs. I'd like to keep it that way!

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles

Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!

Well, another month closed off, and the next one is already coming to an end. The end of the year is closing in as well. And that means things will quiet down a bit. The next big shipwide competition will be in 2016, probably starting January 1st. I think a non-flying and a flying part works best to give everyone a chance. And once again, flying will not be about quantity or high scores, so as to give all a chance to participate. I just have to figure out something new, as I don't wanna do the same thing I did before. Well, still 2 months to think on it!

I wish the new TAC all the best in the new job. I might even have to finish up these partially built battles on my computer to give him some work!
