It's an interesting time for the TIE Corps. This week, as RA Hawkins gets used to his new assignment, Theta squadron sees its
commander, long time vet GN Jarek La'an leave the command chair, and the return of COL Mark
Schueler as commander.
Unfortunately, that news pales compared to a memo I received earlier today from the Tactical Office containing the press release
about the resignation of the Tactical Officer. Ay. It be true. After 8 years, 1 month and ome odd days, someone else will have to do the job. Some of you
may have noticed I wasn't completely with it anymore, and so about a month ago I informed the FC, XO, TCCOM and SOO of my plans to call it quits. The exact
date will depend on my replacement.
By the way, I'm not leaving the Hammer - after all this time I'm still having way too much fun. Still, it will be a big change. After all - 94% of my
time in the EH was spent as TAC.
Anyways, on to other stuff. A flood of medals came through after I awarded what was left of the last ship wide competition. An more are due soon since the MShipE
for September will be submitted to the SOO shortly. Right now I'm hoping the last MSE will be in time, but otherwise it will be for only 3 squads.
If you follow the mailing list, you may have noticed that Star Wars : Battlefront is now on the map. The Hammer's Fist will surely
adopt this as one of their platforms, so if you're into the game, consider being in more than one SG at a time :)
Also - after quite some time, we saw once again the release of a new battle: BoP-TC 27: The Karana Initiative: Unleash Our Wrath is
now available to play. With that, there is one more Karana battle to get out there, which should happen some time in the coming week. Finally, that chapter can be
closed.
I am also looking forward to the newsletter being revived. I'll have to figure out something to write, as it will give me the chance to earn me a
Letter of Achievement, something that I don't have yet!
Also, it seems Star Conflict has introduced a new PvE map: Poseidon Complex. I haven't been thrown into that one yet, but apparantly
it comes up to a win without any of the players being awarded a kill. As such, the COO has amended the rules for awarding a Legion of Skirmish to make awarding them
for this map possible.
I haven't been paying a whole lot of attention this week, I was rather busy, so it's possible I have forgotten a few things here. Better luck next week I suppose!

Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
