NEWS

Welcome to the second edition of my (now correctly-numbered) weekly squadron report.  First off, I’d like to end the suspense and announce the appointment of Sin squadron’s next Flight Leader.  For being a loyal and longtime Sinner, for consistent long-term activity, and for serving as a humble inspiration to his fellow pilots; I hereby sentence MAJ Flelm to the Demon Flight as its new leader!  I just got confirmation of the appointment from the TCCOM as I’m writing this, so you can go ahead and start putting your drinks for tonight on his tab.  He has already assured me that Demon flight is going to be hard at work ending any further threat of ewoks aboard the Warrior.  I do love initiative!

On to Sinner’s Delight.  The final week of August had a bit more participation, but no one could deny CPT Nolij his throne.  Congratulations Captain for winning both the final week, and the calendar month of August.  Your IS-BW has already been approved, and the recommendation for your IS-SW is leaving my desk along with this report.  Next month will not be so easy; competition is starting to heat up…

We have a new tournament-style TIE competition on the boards.  If you’re interested, you’ll need to sign up with the EH Logistics Officer, VA Mark Schueler.

In other news, our own LC Miles Prower finished 8^th in the TIE portion of last week’s TIE Corps on Patrol, MAJ Wondra’s SC flying has pushed his combat rating to Officer 4^th, and your crazy captain advanced to Veteran 3^rd.

I’m seeing activity of every kind from all across the squadron…to the tune of 100 SP and MP sorties flown!  I couldn’t be more proud of you guys…keep doing what you do!

OPEN COMPETITIONS

The Competition Center and Combat Center on the TIE Corps site can provide all the details for each competition. In my reports, I'll just be listing short summaries of each open competition that are open to Sin pilots.

1.    TIE Corps on Patrol: Fly the missions assigned by the TCCOM in his last report.  Highest scores win awards.  Send your files to me like you normally would…I’ll make sure the TCCOM gets a copy of the BSF mail.  This week's missions are listed below. (Whole TC, 2689)

2.    TIE Corps on Recon: This Star Conflict comp awards Iron Stars weekly and monthly.  Each week you can enter up to five screenshots; most caps in Domination & Beacon Hunt, and most kills/assists in Team Battle, Combat Recon, and PvE.  Send your files to SOO/VA Pellaeon before the SOO report comes out on Sunday of each week. 3.    LO’s TIE Fighter Knockout!: Single-elimination TIE Fighter tournament.  Taking signups for brackets now, if interested e-mail the EH Logistics Officer, VA Mark Schueler.

4.    COO Monthly Challenge: Highest kill amount (with assists counted as half a kill) in Team Battle or Domination missions wins a DFC!  This competition is auto-tracked; just submit your screenshots on the website. (Whole TC, 85)Star Conflict

5.    Most Effective: Highest efficiency scores from SC PvE matches win Iron Stars!  This competition is auto-tracked; just submit your screenshots on the website. (Whole TC, 2744)

6.    Star Conflict Co-op Destroyer: Highest kill counts from SC PvE matches win Iron Stars!  This competition is auto-tracked; just submit your screenshots on the website. (Whole TC, 2745)

 

7.    Star Wars Commander Competitions: There are three now, one for PvE, one for Tatooine PvP, and a third for PvP on the non-Tatooine worlds.  Screenshots for these should be sent to COM/VA Plif. (Whole TC, 2746-2748)

 

8.    TIE Fighter Replay: This year, we're flying through the original battles in TIE Fighter. Pilot files should be sent to TAC/HA Anahorn Dempsey. High scores for the whole battle win awards! (Whole TC, 2665)

 

9.    Warrior Trivia Round Three: Five questions a week sent on Monday and due on Sunday night, fastest times with the most correct answers win awards! (Wing II, 2741)

 

10. Sinner's Delight: Most active Sin pilot each week wins an IS-BW; most active Sin pilot each month wins an IS-SW! (Sin, 2749)
