| | A good story, but feels like a poor man's TIE-FCHG #2 at times. |

| | That is right, Mr. "hair in the soup" Tempest has only 4 points to give for this straight-5-battle. Of course the storyline is just awesome (especially in the end) and the missions are for the most part extremely well made. It is really fun to play. Unless you are using DOS-TIE, on which it's unplayable. Not that I hold it against the battle in this case (as I do if the incompatibility is unjustified), as Beef is using large amounts of capital ships. These create an intense battle atmosphere and that really rocks, but the older versions of TIE can't handle that. Due to the massive flickering, you will crash into stuff that suddenly pops up in front of you all the time. It doesn't become unbeatable until mission 5 though, where badly set fighter orders *will* prevent you from completing the mission on TIE-CD and TIE-Disk. Sloppy. But you shouldn't play this one on DOS-TIE anyway, as I already said (and which should be mentioned in the readme btw, that's what it's for). So what are the real flaws? Well, for one, there are more than the one occasion where fighter orders have been really set carelessly, not to say stupidly. Best (but by far not the only) example: I have just obliterated half of Incom's defense forces, but those fighters still circle around and idle while "looking for craft to attack"? How extremely unbeefy! Then there are bonus goals only Jesus could accomplish, like keeping 50% of TF and TB groups alive while they attack an asteroid base. It's totally out of my hand and a matter of pure luck if it works! I'm all for challenging bonus goals, but not for ones which are either impossible or depending on chance only. The difficulty slots are scarcely used, so playing on hard or on easy won't make much difference at all. What also annoyed me were the briefing texts. Beef obviously put a lot of work into writing them, but then wasn't willing to invest that extra hour to get punctuation and word wrapping right, which looks to me like he didn't really care after all. None of these points is really critical, I know that, but in the sum it's just too much to rate it 5. Still, this is one of the best battles there is and no TIE Fighter fan should miss it. The story alone is gold, not to mention that you impersonate GA Ronin in it *g*.

| | I could point out a few flaws, but the storyline was just so bloody amazing that I'm gonna give it maximum score. It's always nice to see something new in this old game.

| | This is the best battle ! I wanted to give it 99999999 but because of rules can give only 5. Plot was briliant, missions without any bugs. It was so intersting ! It reminds me Babylon 5.

| | Amazing Battle. I have to say, as far as storyline, this battle is one the best that i've ever flown. the difficulty was high though even on Medium it was difficult!!! Great work!

| | Excellent, excellent battle. A few minor typos in the briefings, but that does nothing to overshadow the innovative storyline and great mission design. Great work Beef!

|
| | Excellent plot! It takes a few hours to finish and some missions are rather hard. Very interesting and worth the time.

| | MARVELLOUS! The plotline alone warrants a 5 but the missions with sometimes horrendous difficulty settings are an innovation in themselves. I flew up to mission 4 in a row until I relaized how long I've played...
