Reviews for XWA-TC 52

| | This was an awesome battle - I had to replay missions again and again because they were difficult (and not "lets just throw tons of ships with missiles at you difficult" either, proper hard). Poor LT Doralt though :P |

| | Awful. Flying on invul is useless because of the stupid bug in XWA which still means you can get disabled. Also mission critical shuttles etc often just hang around and then hyper off miles away. This battle is highly recommended - as one to avoid.

| | An awesome battle of excellent quality! This one is a must play and has a really good story. Some of my favourite bits were the mission where you take on the executioner pirates alone in your Tie and also where the scientists rescue you. I love those guys and the mission where they are investigating the magnetic asteroids, hope we see them again somewhere! Thanks for creating memorable characters too Frodo like the pirate boss :D

| | Now this is my kind of mission, though I'm usually not keen to fly the basic fighters with all their quirks I do like a well constructed series of missions that fit a storyline well. This fits that bill exactly. The mission with the SPC is chalenging to say the least and "invul" is a bonus for the frustrated pilot. A fine battle and one everyone should fly 5 points to the Hobbit.

| | The plot is excellent! The missions are so well designed that I can't concieve another way to do it. The difficulty is challenging but not impossible, giving even the opportunity to hunt some highscores (In the end I hadn't the patience though). It lacks some more humour strikes here and there but the history as a whole could have driven anybody nuts if caught in the skin of poor LT Doralt. Strange way to join the ID, indeed. If he was such a brilliant pilot, signing for Praetorian could have been more secure... A 5 for you this time, Insane Halfling! Amazing work!

| | I've never been a big fan of XWA, I still haven't figured out how to change my flying style from the earlier games to this one. But, this is a good XWA mission (despite capital ships giving me a pain.)

| | Now, this is how plot development should be done. The mission briefings and debriefings really fleshed out this battle well. Very nice.

| | This is a good all around battle. Good plot and variety of missions. One of the better XWA battles I've played.

| | Flew this the first time in the SSL's and did not do so good on it that time, this time I did better. Some of the missions are tricky and have you trying it over and over to get it right. I must say out of all the missions I have flown this has to be one of the best.

| | Probably the best plotline out of Frodo's work. It has a little Jack Bauer type of feel to it, IMO. Ion cannons are a pain in the rear in a T/F, shields or not :P It felt sort of satisfying to complete the last mission and exit hyperspace to the panoramic view of the SSD...beautiful battle!

| | An amazing storyline... And a good challenging battle, I think its one of few battles where I find myself enjoying the fictional penmanship more than the battle!

|
| | This is a nice storyline around the accidental death of a ID agent by a TC pilot involving the former SDIR FA Aseret Thunderhawk. This battle features a nice set of challenging missions. My only disapointment with the battle is that praetorian should have been involved since we are the protectors of the SDIR. Note: this was used for one of the SSL finals (2005 I think- it all blurs togeather after awhile);p.

| | I liked the story very much. But first mission it would not harm to give us a shielded Interceptor....that's because it's very difficult to stay alive with those X-Wings in hard, especially in XWA in which lasers are fast and it's harder to evade than TIE. I'm not very fond of completing battles in other leves besides hard. And the wait in the beginning of the first mission was just too long...it's kind of annoying when you have to fly the mission several times ;)

| | Great humorous plot. And the moral of the story is... don't be late for briefings :P

|
| | Well written plot and battle well planned. the first mision gives quite a surprise and the following missions give a good test of your piloting skills.
