XVIII Top Gun: September   Competition ID#: 588 Competition status: finished Submitted by: MAJ Jaron Kai Competition runtime: 09/01/2003 - 09/30/2003 Units involved: Wing XVIII Competition medals: IS-SW, IS-BW Description: The competition that determines the best of Wing XVIII. Every month, two pilots and one squadron will be honored with the titles of XVIII Top Gun, XVIII Top Ace, and XVIII SotM. The pilot with the most points earns the title XVIII Top Gun and an IS-SW. The runner up with the second most points earns the title XVIII Top Ace and an IS-BW. Finally, the squadron with the greatest collective total will be dubbed XVIII's Squadron of the Month and have the honor of escorting the Wing Commander for the next month. If a CMDR is able to guide his squadron to victory five months in a row, he will also earn an ISM for his efforts in leadership. Points are awarded as follows: Flying - 1 point per mission IWATS - 5 points per course MP Flying - 1 point per match win or lose (screenshots should be sent to the WC in a compressed format and zipped) Fiction - 1 to 10 points depending on quality (all fictions must be Star Wars/TIE Corps related) Bonus - 1 to 5 points may be awarded as the WC sees fit for extraordinary efforts not covered above. Note: All BJ submissions will count for double points (this includes fiction submissions) if they are CC'd to the WC.
