Squadron scoring is the total points earned divided by the number in the squadron. For example, if squadron A has 7 people and their scores individually are 22, 27, 30, and 18 for the month (only 4 participated), the total for the squadron becomes 13.857 (97/7). Squadron B has all 6 squadron members participating and their scores are 19, 25, 32, 40, 12, and 15. The squadron’s total is 17.167 (103/6). Squadron B has won the month. This means that not only do the individuals count in standing, but also the squadron’s total participation. Pilots not participating earn the squadron 0 points. After a month has completed, points from quotes in that month are counted only for the year end total. Pilots that answer previous month’s quotes will not increase their squadron’s year end point toal but only their own year end total. Squadron points earned are tabulated each month (to account for changes in squadron numbers). These tabulations are totaled for the end of the year. Individuals may earn points for any month current or past for the end of the year total. Each month is separate from the next.
